No shadows bug...cant fix it

Hello, First let me say I absolutely love this game, and have 50$ ready to contribute to microtransactions and hours and hours per day to actively play, but I cant fully enjoy the game with this problem. Shadows dont work. there are no shadows. Below I will detail what I have done to try and fix the problem:
1. Disable / Re-enable shadows and restart the computer etc (obviously....i tried this first) 2. Check the production_config .ini file for the shadow settings, I have tried with both hardware_7_samples and hardware_3_samples, no shadows either way. 3. Update video card drivers to the most recent version available from HP, and obviously restart the computer afterwards. after starting the game, I re-did steps 1 and 2. 4. Force the game to run in compatibility mode, run as administrator, and force dx9 in case it was trying to use dx11. tried all of these individually, and together, and in combinations. Repeated steps 1 and 2 after each adjustment. 5. Delete the production_config.ini file entirely and allow the game to re-build it, JUST IN CASE the shadows option has changed its name in newer builds. Im effectively at wits end, and will not be able to continue playing until this gets resolved. Do you HAVE to use the HP drivers?
In most cases (with rare exception) you can use the drivers on the manufacturer for the card/chipset... example: If you have an AMD/ATI Radeon card built into an HP laptop, you can go to the AMD site to download the Radeon drivers which are almost always WAY more recent than the HP site... same with NVidia and usually is also the case with Intel. There are some exceptions where the chipset was specifically modified for HP or whoever, but that is very rare. It might be worth looking into. If you posted your specs, we would be able to assist better in that. Also, to add to the dxdiag report above, Catalyst is using all standard/balanced/application controlled settings for video, nothing otu of place but I've tried adjusting each one of those to fix this problem, forgot to put that in the original post. Ive tried each of the POE shadow settings, both by changing their value in the gui from inside the game, and modifying the production_config.ini file for hardware_7_samples, hardware_3_samples. I was REALLY hoping, that since short of modifying the game code or bringing some extremely rare fix to my attention, that there was a different value for shadows than the 3 which are generated from the options in the drop down in game (no shadows and the above mentioned 3/7 samples). Maybe one of you can help based on that dxdiag :) thanks again for any help much much appreciated

I agree with Drakier, start with removing the GPU driver in safe mode with this tool http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Hi i have the same problem, i am trying to put the lastest drivers for my GPC but i cant do it right, need some help.
First I downloaded the lastest drivers(i believe) from ATI webpage (catalyst or something) and tried to install them right away but got a blue screen and a restart. Then I downloaded the driver cleaner you guys posted some posts above, went to safe mode and cleaned the drivers. Finally when a restarted windows in normal mode it automatically instaled drivers for my GCP(or whatever w7 does) and now i am back to square one, i cant see shadows. If anyone can give me a good link to lastest drivers for my GCP and if there is a way to install them right away or avoid the windows 7 auto install, that would be awesome. Strange because when using the recommended option in the tool for removing the driver, it should make sure that the driver is not auto updated.
