" That's really not the case, only the older HD models might cause FPS issues. I know because I've upgraded from the HD series to the R9 series because of PoE and if you watch FPS issues on the forum basically all of them use the HD series... Also the R9 series support Mantle technology which the GeForce models do not support yet (correct me if im wrong). For example BF4 supports Mantle, PoE does not however... " Regardless of what others might say.. I believe that nvidia is the best way to go overall (specifically for PoE, but for other things as well). From my experience in the past, nvidia is better all-around when it comes to "ownership" of their hardware. They might not be as performant in all cases, but they are far superior in support.. not just in terms of what games can run on nvidia cards well, but also if you have any issues with their cards, they are far more responsive and supportive than AMD/ATI. I used to be a huge fan of AMD/ATI, but then my card broke and it became nothing but a nightmare. I had a similar issue with an nvidia card and there was absolutely ZERO hassle with the nvidia support and the card manufacturer in getting it replaced/fixed. So tl;dr recap: Nvidia cards play PoE better, and if something breaks with your Nvidia card, they are better at support... it's a win/win for nvidia. The ONLY reason I'd ever consider getting an AMD/ATI card again was if I planned on using it to mine bitcoins. That's really the only situation where the AMD/ATI card will seriously out-perform the nvidia IMO. |

First of all AMD has come up with Mantle support for their latest models, something that nVidia cards do not support yet (correct me if Im wrong).
And second when it comes to ownership of the product I disagree that this is a good thing. AMD releases a basic graphics cards which can be fine tuned by retailers. This give you more options. For example I got a Sapphire Trixx version of the R290 which has superior cooling and performance over the standard model. It really squeezed as much performance out of the card while keeping it stable. Last AMD is known for a better price/performance balance than nVidia.. nVidia and AMD are concurrents and push each other to a higher level. Situations in the past are not a good reference for the current situation. AMD is at the moment really in the lead if you compare the latest products lines with each other. All newer CPU's today have an Integrated graphic Card. The cpu you listed is a seccond generation cpu. We are working in the fourth generation today "refered to as haswell processors". Using the Integrated GPU in the cpu is not enough to play the game "properly"
The version of the cpu matters a lot. That I7 cpu seccond generation you listed is much slower than a I5 Cpu fourth generation. Seccondly. Buying I7 proccesors, is like shooting birds with cannons. I5 is more than enough, since most other hardwares will never use a I7 to its full potential. Considering the devolopment speed of hardware today. The Price for a I7 is way to high when it is old 1 month later. My advice is look for a I5 (4th generation) And look for any graphic Card that suits you. Believe we are working in nvidia 800 series today. Like another person stated earlier, i allso prefer Nvidia. Intel and nvidia are Companies that Wager stability over performance. I never listed any i7 CPU? The Intel CPU listed are i5 models of the 4th and latest generation, Haswell indeed. Also I listed a dedicated GPU, the integrated GPU should not be used...
