how to save up for soul taker...

I have no clue how people save up for things like soul taker.
The non-legacy version alone cost roughly 50Ex=1650Chaos(assuming the ratio is 1ex=33C)... the Legacy version go for 290Ex+=9570C(assuming the ratio is 1ex=33C). This seems like a completely ridiculous amount for me and makes me wonder how people manage to save up so much currency.

In invasion, I got my Soul Taker by following this:

1. Made MF summoner that worked pretty much on the items I found. (dont lvl as summoner tho)

2. Did low maps to lvl my gems and find some mf gear (like the mf shield).

3. Started running merciless Dominus fast as I could.

4. Sold everything that can be sold for more than 1 chaos. (put price on EVERYTHING)

5. Turn rest of the rares to alts.

6. Convert alts to fuses and bought exalts everytime I had enough fuses.

7. Sometimes I found uniques and good rares, sold them.

8. Repeat steps 4-7 long enough.



9. Buy Soul Taker !

K im bad at life so: Whats an MF summoner ._.

Find a Dominus farming group with a good MF player, buy stash tabs, use the chaos recipe on bad base items. Do that all day and make it rain exalts on dem bitches.

Magic finder. Stack item rarity and item quantity on gear and gems.

you said to not level as a summoner... how do i level then?

Flameblast, searing bond.. they work nicely. Be sure to lvl your summoning gems too at the same time.

Does this work in Standard? or is it only invasion/ambush

Im not familiar with standard economy.. propably harder to sell rares but alts and fuses should sell easily. And good uniques too.

But yeah, its easier to do good profit in 4 month leagues.

I wonder what I'm doing wrong. This is sitting in my vault waiting for motivation to try a build with it.
