I thought it was the clothing that pissed people off. Not the proportions. If she was actually wearing a bra that could hold her chest. A dress that didnt sink 2/3s of the way down her breasts and a skirt that didn't end past her ass I don't think their would have been a problem. The barbarian girl as I recall was pretty much naked and all the female npcs were sexualised. TBH sexualised characters arnt really a bad thing. As long as it goes both ways. In 99% of the industry's cases it does not and it gets rather old.

I don't believe many would be happy with seeing a sexualised marauder, duelist and shadow. Well, some, maybe, but the majority, no. Anyway, I find this kind of stuff breaks immersion quite badly.
