Stop turning off "always show items on ground"

Really. I keep having to turn items on again. It is keybound to the Z key by default, but naturally I have changed it to the ALT key asap.

But it keeps getting turned off.
1. Often when I enter a new area
2. Randomly, as if to say 'screw you'
3. When you quit PoE and go back in, it forgets that you had it on
4. When you die and respawn

Additionally there is no message to tell you if it's on or off, so if there aren't any items on the ground, you have to drop an item from your inventory to test whether it's on or off.

Please fix sometime?

The default for "show items while held down" is ALT.
The default for toggling is on Z.
That's also what I would call natural.

Why did you bind the toggle to a key at all if you want it to be always on?

And even when I bind the toggle to ALT, I'm not seeing the problems you describe.
Try binding the toggle to some other key to see if the problem remains.

And lastly: you can see if the toggle is on, because it will show labels for area exists if it's turned on.

I keybound it to alt because it's alt in Diablo 3. I have discovered what the problem was. When I alt-tabbed out of PoE, it seems to mistake the alt+tab windows command for disabling 'show items' as well. No wonder it seemed random.

This is completely retarded and should really be fixed.

To answer your question, I bound it to a key because it was constantly being disabled, and I've only just discovered why.

when i started the game i just activate the always show item on the grond in the option,didnt bother to put a keybind on it and i never get any probleme with it.dc/change map/log in/out and all the item always show up.

hmm, you change a key bind to alt then complain when pressing ALT + tab executes the command that you set to alt and blame the game for your stupidity? who is the real asshat here?

You are technically hitting alt, holding that for a split second before also pressing tab, so the command triggers in PoE then it tabs you out of the game. It has nothing to do with a windows command interfering with PoE it's just how you had set it up. And if it's that big of a problem just bind it to a key like "p" or "o". Something far away from your hand but it's easy enough for muscle memory to press it if you have to turn it on/off.
