Odd crash

You need to troubleshoot this BSOD.

Please load the minidump and post what is causing the BSOD
I really dont know, am I retarded or what... We go from scratch :

1. install win 7 ultimate raw version
2. install mobo driver (I pre-DL it) yes the right one GB 970a-ud3 rev 1.2 + hd driver from dvd
3. install network adapter
4. install gpu driver from nvidia page including net framework

what am I missing here ?

Fail... First driver crash within 10 min of gameplay... Amazing... Will look for recive of the GPU a bit later.

I had issues with my GPU resetting because of a driver crash on my computer too with my old Ati HD card.
In my case I could verify this with quite obvious Ati events in my even viewer.

What might help you is to remove the driver in safe mode using this tool http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html

Then reboot as usual to download and install the latest drivers again.

Well, I used driver sweeper for that but it is better to do it manually. Meaning, CtrlPanel/uninstall all nvidia drivers(just gpu in my case) + reboot , than you remove crap that is left from that in register and reboot again.

I didnt even install physX this time cause PoE doesnt use it, not that I use 3D screen or googles or w/e and not even nvidia experience...

This GPU was 230€ a year ago. I should/could run max setting for farm more difficult games(graphic wise) than PoE is. :)

Going to reinstall win again tomorrow, after I reboot my PC like 30x, just to be sure I dont get bsod. And no, not 30x in 10 min... maybe on 3h or so :P

Btw, I installed latest driver today. :D

Im also gonna try the driver I got on a gpu cd, first. :P Will move PoE to casual HDD as well. It might have some sort of a fight with my SSd, who knows.. I tried many things, so this wouldnt hurt either. :P

Tnx for participating in this saga @Startkabels :D :D

edit: I will also try with and w/o any win update cept the required ones like net framework and such ;o

How to slap GPU driver crashes to submission.

After a few win 7 ultimate re-installs driver tests and what not, I come to this results:

- Check what driver is supported for your current GPU. Latest drivers should cause problems.

- It might sounds weird but Desktop resolution and in-game Resolution along with refresh rate should match

- Dont forget to set your GPU via product's performance tune-up

- Update Bios via floppy or USB driver ( dont forget to format USB/floppy before extracting Bios on it )

- Do disc check where PoE is installed

-adding this one : Even desktop background from Windows default pic could cause this problem. Yes, I know, it is retarded

- If none of the above works or at least limits the GPU crashes, use Warranty, if it is still valid and get new but same or better GPU

Hope this helps! :)
