Munchkin... the card game.

It has been a while since I found someone who knew what that was!

Love Munchkin! The new Zombies one is pretty good. I've got Bites, Cthulu, and Booty. My friend has the original, Star, Zombies, Impossible, and The Good and the Bad, and my other friend has Super.

Nothing beats combining lots of decks :P
I try to be as respectful as I can to you, whether I agree with your opinions or not. I only ask that you grant me the same courtesy.
1) Champions of Norrath
2) Monster Rancher 2
3) Legend of Legaia
Phantom Dust - Xbox
From Panzer Dragoon creator Yukio Futatsugi, the game was an arsenal based arena fighter. It was odd, beautiful, and made great used of destructible enviroments. It was released to little to no fanfare in Japan, and ended up being a 20 dollar import job by Majesco, during their Advent Rising and Bloodrayne years. The community for the game has died with the Original Xbox Live.

Ferentus -
God awful beta'd then free to play Korean mmo. Bad memories lie here.

Shadowrun - Xbox 360
Although perhaps better known than Phantom Dust, this FPS Science Fantasy Shooter that shares a name but little resemblance to the pen and paper game that named it, was not well recieved, being a multiplayer only title on the 360, and the first attempt at a Games for Windows Live title with cross connectivity between PC and Xbox players. It was very good while the balance lasted, but the community, servers, and eventually game died down within a few months. Shame too.

Great turn based strategy game in a pure and very simple form that is still incredible deep...

Shameless self qoute, but this game is now in the new Humble Bundle (http://www.humblebundle.com/) for any amount you want to pay. So if you dont have it this would be the chance to get it and if you would pay more then the average amount you would even get Trine on top of it what is a great game too.

Dwarf Fortress

"

Dwarf Fortress is a single-player fantasy game. You can control a dwarven outpost or an adventurer in a randomly generated, persistent world.

Well, this is just the best game *EVER* in case you haven't heard, that is IF you can get past the steep learning curve and the ascii-style graphics (there are bitmap-tile-packs available tho).

Here's a screenshot with accompanying story :D

"
This picture is the true, undiluted essence of Dwarf Fortress. If you opened a dictionary and looked for Dwarf Fortress, you would not find any definition, just this image. Please, picture, if you will, this scene in your head - the militia commander Athel Sabrepunch, gem cutter by trade, wrestler and fighter by neccessity, stands locked in a desperate struggle with the child Cerol "Shamebirth" Handledbell, the small boy's eyes devoid of reason or compassion, burning with the unholy flame of a berserk fury. Spit and froth spew from his mouth as he screams incoherent fragments of obscenities into the face of his adversary in a dark, unwholesome language understood by none, not even himself. Though his opponent is twice his size, his rage gives him unnatural strength making him more than a match for the adult dwarf that stands between him and the desperately wounded invalids lying on the hospital beds not more than an armspan away. Athel knows that he must strike down this raging youngster, lest he kill not only him but the helpless convalescents as well. Seizing the moment, he bends into a crouch and seizes the child by his foot, and mustering all of his strength, tosses him shrieking against the wall. Before his opponent can react, he bullrushes him, setting his knee against the child's chest and, seizing him by the neck with both hands, squeezes with all his might. Cerol makes raspy choking sounds as the life slowly drains from his bruised and bloodstained body, his arms flailing helplessly, clawing at the dwarf above him. Tears stream from his eyes as the end approaches, and he stares helplessly up into the cold, emotionless eyes of Athel Sabrepunch, his soon-to-be-murderer and lets out a shriek of despair and terror that reaches no further than his bruised, spasming throat. "Shh, shhh, shhh" Athel coos softly, pressing down with his knee one more time. There is a dull gurgling sound, the child's eyes roll up into his head, and then there is silence, broken only by the groans of the wounded and the unearthly shrieks of the primeval monster laying waste to the land above.
1: The Neverhood(PC)

If you like point and clicks with great humor and good puzzles, look no further. This game is quite bizzare with a serious amount of backstory(optional for the most part)in a very odd universe. The entire game is done with clay models, so talking about graphics becomes a moot point.

The music is stellar if weird at times(noticing a pattern here) and the puzzles change(within reason) every playthroug so it is never exactly the same.

P.S. When a game can use the same puzzle for both the first and last puzzles in the game and still leave you sitting there scratching your head, it is a good point and click.

2: Dark Chronciles(PS2)

Anyone who is a fan of Level 5 studios rpg titles will like this game. The level of weapon customisation and progression will leave you in tears of joy, you can do so much to change the weapons abilities. Also, the town building mechanics are fun and intuitive and a joy to do during downtime between dungeons crawls.

The graphics are done in a nice cel-shaded style that still looks fantastic today. Some of the areas still look breathraking and as you build up the areas you want to see what happens next.

The game isn't perfect, the bosses are a bit of a joke(though some can be challenging), there is a seriously annoying picture taking mechanic for creating new designs and the story is fairly flat and just doesn't feel that inspired(personal gripe)but for dungeon crawler fans and fans of customisation, this game is perfect.

3: Shadow of the collossus(PS2)

I'm sure the great bulk of people here have either played or heard of this game and just how amazing it is, but if you haven't stick it into youtube and either listen to the stellat soundtrack or watch any game footage and you will get an idea of why this game is jsut so good and easily one of the best games out there, PERIOD.
