GGG devs are the April (+11 other months) fools for not creating this. Millions of solo arpg players crying out in terror and then silenced. GGG's stubbornly false belief that only through partying and trading is PoE's fun maximized has cost them millions of players and millions in revenue. That is most certainly a terrible wound to GGG for which they could repair but I seriously doubt they will. GGG loves all things hardcore (I mostly do too) but hardcore/multi-player/trader-flipper (not much) and in the end GGG stays a tiny player in the big arpg ocean. :(

If Obi-Wan is our only hope then we (the millions of solo players) are all doomed.

Note 1: If I remember correctly and I do (at age 54 I don't have Alzheimer's yet) Blizzard found out the hard way that too few rewards for time played will lead to a mass exodus of their arpg. We will soon see with RoS statistics if the better rewards for time played is a winner or not with the solo arpg crowd.

Note 2: My only multi-player PoE experience was last summer in a 3 party Anarchy (http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/428803) with my 2 soul mates. The first 2 plays of Normal and Cruel were great and with our time limited play we got to Merciless in early August 2013 (about 2 months). It was there that my 2 friends came to the conclusion in September that the time grind wasn't worth the rewards (item progression had run out) so they dropped out and I solo-ed on again.
 Fast forward to March 26th, 2014 and our trio is once again party playing in an arpg. This time it is D3:RoS. It is too soon to know how well "loot 2.0" is going to work for them and for how long but so far they are enjoying the new content and better quality of loot. We are all happy that the AH is closed and so we should be able to find the gear we will need as we level up. If the time/risk/rewards are better in RoS than D3 v1.x (nothing should ever be that bad) then when we finish campaign mode we will still be a trio party in the adventure mode and rifts. Only time will tell if I am left to solo another arpg or if RoS can reward them more frequently to keep them in for a longer time.
