Microtransaction Skill Reset
|
Before I start this poll/thread please stay on topic, I understand there will be a lot of mixed comments on this topic however I believe it is something that should be discussed.
I should also say this would have no effect on me personally as I am at the point where I can farm effectively however there was a point this would have been helpful for me. So lets talk about a skill reset been available via a micro transaction, I believe there should be a way to obtain skill resets via a paid method as well has in game drops, however it should remain untradeable so can only be used on that account only. Players love to try different builds and ways to play there character with 1 free skill reset every 4 month players then have to wait for this if they mess up a build or wish to try something else which in my opinion is a little long. So for my opinion on this, if the skill reset was a currency that could be used once similar to a skin transfer and was also untradeable I would be all for it, it wouldn't have a negative effect against the game or economy as it's untradeable so regrets would still stay the same price for player's not wanting to wanting to spend real money. I would like players to share there opinions on this why they think it would or would not be a good idea. Regrets will still become cheaper.
Build planning and customization will suffer, since the game will allow to do more mistakes. It is pay2win Example: You play a physical ranger and find a wind-ripper. Usually, you'd have to invest heavily into regrets to adapt your build or save the item or reroll the character, if you want to use it. With MTX-Reset, you can just reskill and keep rolling. Please don't PM me ingame with filter/guide questions, post them on the forum, after reading the FAQ.

No and no. This is not an mmo.
A kid playing computer games can never be — and never has been — hardcore.

" Neither is Diablo for example, however you have unlimited unpaid resets. |
|
" For example I roll a class and get to level 70, I'm the unhappy with the build I'm currently using & have no currency. What do I do? There are 2 options: Play the character regardless even if you are unhappy with how the build has worked out or Re-roll Some people simply don't have time to re-roll new characters over and over, as stated in original post this has no effect on me. " Different games, different rules. The difficulty to reset a passive tree is what keeps players making new characters. |
|
" Yup. As long as regrets have any value whatsoever, this microtransaction cannot happen. I wouldn't hold your breath. |
|
" They are both hack n slash RPG's with different customization options however the game play elements are the same. |
