GGG, we need a forum BLOCK button.

For forums yes please. There are at least a few people, I don't need to bother reading anything they write going forward, and eventually someone will feel the same towards me.

Blocking people you disagree with only hurts yourself and limits your exposure to new ideas and concepts. I'm actually pleased they don't have a block function. If someone is really worth blocking, then they're probably just as temp-ban worthy.

which is why i would only block the persistent trolls, and not just the people i disagree with. OK?

Have you tried simply ignoring them...?

That would mean learning all their names and keeping lists of names to watch for.....I cba with that.....ignore button makes it easy and makes the forum look less cluttered with shit.

I am my own block button.

Seriously, when going through the forum and you see a hater, keep going. See disconnect issues, keep going, see we want pants, Jump on that shit! See the same posts over and over again that mean no one checks to see if someone else has already posted it (ie; everyone), please keep going.

We want to defend the game, but give GGG credit. True suggestions and problem will be addressed. The rest is just noise.
I agree that merely blocking people you don't want to see in a public forum is a bit...inadequate.

We should get a post report function sooner or later, much like the one we have for in-game reporting of conduct.

That said, people PM myself, other mods and Support links to problematic threads all the time and that works pretty well.

If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

I don't really care for a block button.

But a downvote to get the troll threads off the front page as well as a report option would be nice.

Vote buttons are ridiculous.People just love pushing the dislike button on any post.
