Greater Multiple Projectiles: The mana multiplier has been reduced from 200% to 165%

is all we know yet, need to see the base on PS to make a judgement =)

But just from that it's 27.8125% mana reduction so maybe not - we'll see.

Yeah exactly, and I'm only level 86 atm so those nodes wouldn't be for right now. Do you think the rest of the build is solid?

It's v. solid and your gear is solid as well!

Two questions:

Pre-1.2:
1) With no iron reflexes/grace for mitigation, is it just arctic armor and "kill it before it gets to you" for defense?

Post-1.2:
1) You recently posted that the build won't work with 1.2 (at least with a wand). I'm wondering why not? Is that we can't run enough auras (due to passive changes)? If so, what are the details? If it's not auras, what is it that breaks the build?

Defence of these builds is often the leech - one hit will return you to full.

This build will 100% work with a wand, it's a fucking wand build xD

Right now, level 20 PS costs 18 mana, it's 14 on TW server.

Supports are WED (x1.5) GMP (x2) Chain (x2) Critdmg (x1.3) Add acc (x1)
Now PS costs 140.4 mana per cast.

In 1.2, supports are WED (x1.5) GMP (x1.65) Chain (x1.75) Critdmg (x1.3) Add acc (x1).
If nothing changes, PS will cost 78.8 mana per cast.

44% mana draw reduction, not bad.

Gotcha, thanks for reply.

For #1, the leech defense mechanic makes sense.

For #2, I was "responding" to Skyforth who said:

"Good news is, we survived to 1.2

Bad news is, we don't go no wand for 1.2

So, we're settling for onslaught barb"

Perhaps I misunderstood his post?

Oh gotcha, so the build (I think I saw a 1.2 tree earlier in the post) is still viable, but the thread author is trying something else in the short term?

Thanks for replies! :)

Skyforth probably wanted to write "Bad news is, we don't go no1 wand for 1.2"

The build is definitely viable and he's gonna play it, just not to it's full potential.
Thanks all.

On an unrelated note, it sounds like mortal conviction -> low life -> lots of auras might work (in a general sense), but I'm wondering if it could work with this build, obviously with a different tree. Apparently, you can no longer kill yourself with blood magic skill cast, which is a big +.

What I'm wondering is, you would need A LOT of life regen to make up for "mana cost" of power siphon, which doesn't seem possible given the need to get lots of ES nodes as well. Even with lots of regen, I'm not sure you could get the amount necessary to sustain power siphon.

Thoughts?
Won't work to rely on life regen.

Edit: Can be made up with lgoh or lgok
