[2.0] SAM's 48K RoA/Split Arrow + Puncture/Evasion + Herald of Ash

Ok, I have to ask. I haven't seen the new trees at all (i'm mostly doing the 1 week race atm) - are we in for trouble with this, our beloved awesomesauce build, or will RoA survive mostly unimpeded? I heard whisper that puncture was headed for a fall... is that truth, or speculation? Anyone?

First of all, thanks for this build, I used it before the path 1.3.
I managed to reach the level 60 without that much troubles.

Since the update, I haven't played my ranger, but I noticed that my passive tree has been reinitialized.

Is this build still working well or should I change my way of playing my ranger ?
The thing is I like playing Eva/physical damage/crit characters.

It's funny. I'm pretty sure it still works well. I was super afraid puncture was f'd, but it still feels nice and bleedy strong, and I haven't tried the bleed nodes at all.

I am leveling another ranged class, but since I didn't have a shadow, I am trying to build myself this same style of play on that. Seems ok so far, but I always forget how totally dependent on a good bow we are. I was getting murdered in the late 40's until I coughed up a chaos to upgrade my bow. Went from "dead, dead, dead, finally killed it, dead dead, so much xp lost" to "eat it ghost, survive, get xp, move on".

I will admit to wishing I had a nice perfect path again - i've been cobbling things together from a few different bow paths, trying to see what everyone takes (there's always a few nodes we just have to have) and trying to figure out why certain things get skipped.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this unfolds so I can just get back to shooting things in the face while being mentally at peace. :)

I wonder how is clear speed with iAoE gem instead of conc effect :| 73% aoe difference is well worth the dmg loss (you have a single target anyway)

I've been messing with the iAoE gem a bit but my sample size of maps are still tiny. Will continue doing more tests but from early maps, both are great. Have not done 78 maps with iAoE yet but will do them soon~

Apologize for the massive delay. New work has been killer and my internet has been utter crap. Been waiting 6 weeks for the new internet installation, and got 2 more weeks to wait ): Will update soon!

After a much much longer break than expected, I will be back playing PoE for a bit and experiencing all the new changes and new content as a noob again :D Will update the guide when I figure out a way to make CWDT + EC + IC replaceable, might have a complete change in gearing ):
