Yup, I am CURRENTLY on Puncture, but the difference in build is only 4 points so the vast majority of points on the tree remain the same. I am personally deciding between Frenzy and Puncture myself still :D

Frenzy is still a pretty powerful single target attack. For times when it's not practical to spam Rain of Arrows, Frenzy is the way to go. Usually for bosses or Champions as they tend to move around and the short delay before RoA lands may completely miss them.

If you do not like using Frenzy, you can do it as you described too :)
