Necromancer Spectres

Reanimating dead corpses does not change what team the corpses are on. Necromancers are restricted to only raising dead monsters that are on their team - if the necromancer is on your team, it can't raise enemy undead.

Does this mean they can raise the corpses of your dead party members? ;)

HI,

FYI, in the Lunaris Temple there are some necromancers that can have the affix raise zombie,
but since its a chance they are not always around.

they can raise 3 zombies at a time from corpses.
These zombies compare to lvl 14-15 zombies you cast yourself and respond to the caster, not you.

despite what another may say in this thread about it not being able to summon when under your control ; this is true for other necromancers though this has nothing todo with on wich team they are, the function is simply disabled then.
Those from Lunaris temple will summon zombies that are friendly to you, if they will gain bonusses like tempest shield from necromantic shield, I havent tried.

Funny, but not that usefull imo, i myself like to take couple of GMP flying fireball carpets along.

happy hunting!

AFAIK no summon gets tempest shield even with necro aegis...
Proud 5th duelist in the Jul 1 2012 Ladder Race and in the Nov 3 2012 Solo Turbo Race :D

Current OB success:
top 20 Ranger in 105 Minute Turbo Solo (S4E9)
normally no, they dont, just the local shield stats, but since this is beta and summons did allow for strange things to happen in earlier closed beta, it just might be possible that the summons from your summon might get bonusses like that as a bug.

after trying lots of possibles: no, the minions of your own minion do not get bonusses of any kind from you.

nor will their dmg/hp increase when using a higher lvl raise spectre gem.
meaning that in some cases these zombies can be of higher quality then your own.

Later!

fyi, all specters are unable to summon anything, so they will not raise the dead, they will also not be able to summon suicide minions either.

The Lunaris necros do summon zombies. They're human-like, not the usual necro model. They're the only ones that seem to work. Dominating necros/mobs that spawn other mobs work fine though, for example if you dominate those fireball spitting spider thing in early act3, they summon adds. Which makes me wonder why spectres don't, but I guess it's just a balancing issue.
The new Monsters in act 3 that have the skill "Raise Zombie" will use that skill when they're spectres. They create raised zombies that are their minions, not yours.

This thread was created before those monsters were introduced, and was asking about the 'Necromancer' type monsters that do not use raise zombie, but cause allied undead to reanimate. This skill fundamentally only works on allied undead, and does not change their team, nor make them minions of any kind. As explained on the first page, the reason they can't do it when they're spectres is that those undead ore no longer their allies - and if they did raise them, they'd attack them.
Well but the bug "Calls apes from Trees" still exists.

Once you use such a spectre he summons hostile apes.
Jan 27th, that's 4days after OB launch isn't it? Thread was created after these were added.

But I see the difference, not the same skill and as such doesn't work because there's no undead allied to the player while lunaris necros can raise everything(they raise their little shield charging friends in case they didn't outright kill you with an offscreen charge with added physical and haste aura mods ^^). What's the story with the Carrion queens though? Dominated ones can spawn little explosive dudes, but Spectre ones only cast the fireballs. I thought maybe it's because spectres only get one ability, but for example if you spectre alchemists, they seem to throw their 2 different type of poison ball, the ground ones that do trap sounds and explode after a delay and the direct damage ones. Maybe the direct damage are just normal ranged attacks though?

Anyway spectres are strong enough in general, not saying they should be changed or buffed. Just I found interesting when I played my dominating blow char how much stronger it is to dominate mobs than spectre them, rare/magic mods apart.
Just conversion trap that bitch and watch all of the summons kill their master. Then Detonate Dead that fucker for an extra fuck you to the face.

Fuck necros!
