Just died to desync in Nemesis will never play your game again until you fix your issues

To the poster before me: Why do you feel the need to troll people who play hardcore? Play the game you like.

To the OP: Hardcore is grinding between deaths. Deaths happen. They will happen to you. If you can't handle death, even to connection issues, then don't play Hardcore.

How to avoid desync: First dont be stupid and run through large groups of enemies in a small space, second try to avoid abilities that desync very often, for example whirling blades, third make a hotkey to do the /oos command, if you ever feel like you are oos just click it.

I know what I am talkin about. Before the newer leagues, I was playing hardcore long enough. It was some really carefully boring playstyle everyone was following there. No fun, no risks, slow progression.

Now I am playing Standard 'I don't give a fuck' league, which is 10 x the fun. Enjoy the game dude. You can experiment there all you want and it's much more chilled.

At a sidenote, who do you want to impress with your hardcore character? This might sound bitter, but no one cares about what league you play. Level 100 Hardcore has been done before and in the end all you would prove is that you are a superfreak. The only valid argument is that it is an additional challenge and your character is worth more if it doesn't die - but again I ask you - who actually cares?

The reasons I play hardcore:

1) If I die (which I do) I actually know where I went wrong, so when it comes to me re-running the same build I know what to look out for.

2) I like the tension of going into an area knowing you might die and have to restart, It gives a risky feeling which I personally love.



I don't play hardcore thinking my character and it's items are more valuable than any others and try to impress others. To be honest I don't play with anyone to impress.

So before you start talking rubbish assuming everyone plays hardcore for the reasons you stated actually think about the ones that play it for personal reasons.

Each to their own is what I say.

Firstly, You lack the perspective of what I like to call the 'True Gamer' in more than one respect. You see, I'm going to make this an essay of thingies and stuff. You're going to not read it, but my points will be made. True, I do give a terrible name to what I define as a 'True gamer,' but I focus on games, not word play. If you simply call everyone stupid for playing hardcore, you throw shit on even people you might call your friends at some point. You say you know what you're talking about, but provide only information upon what you've seen. We are only seeing your viewpoint once again when you mention having 10x the fun in standard. And yet again, you just assume everyone has something to prove in hardcore and that their passive need to prove something is the end result of you calling them stupid.

Now that I've randomly popped a few shots off, let's start with your first point; You know what you're talking about, You've played hardcore long enough, and you believe there is no risk/fun/slow progression. Now, don't get me wrong, some people do play hardcore in these ways, but to assume we all do that? Now come on. Have some perspective my friend. well, you did call me stupid, so I'm going to make sure I'm thorough... guess we ain't friends. If there is no fun, you are not of the necessary mindset for hardcore. If there are no risks, you've not incited your friends enough to bring forth the yolo. If there is slow progression, you've no balls, or your friends don't. Don't go assuming we all are slow, non-risk takers. That's all the fun in the world for hardcore... Living through a yolo session.

Onward! You are now playing in standard. the league that is awesomely more fun than hardcore! By your taste. The problem here is that you are basically trying to tell everyone they are wrong. Anyone who plays standard could agree with this statement, but anyone else is dead wrong. Maybe I enjoy the game playing hardcore. Maybe experimenting is part of the hardcore leagues as well? Also, hardcore may not be as 'chilled' as you might like... there is a part of the playerbase that comes here to fuck shit up. We ain't here to relax mayn. Get yo head outta dat toilet. y'know? My point is... you're assuming everyone is on your side. the playerbase of this game is huge, and the vast majority might even be on your side, but you still miss out on the large portion of people enjoying the game's more hardcore qualities.

And if I wanted to impress someone, I'd go play WoW and fuck shit up there for another 6 years. No. I'm here for the challenge. The personal desire to overcome an obstacle. My goal is to complete this challenge WHILE having fun. So far, I'm doing rather well. I don't aim for 100. I aim to beast the hell out of every map, eventually. sure, you mention that this is the only valid argument (along side some retarded mention of character worth), but you throw in that final comment like you just won some award for telling people how it is. BUT WHO REALLY CARES?!?!? I care. I care about myself, my progress, my capabilities as a gamer. I spend most of my free time focusing on having fun, and most of my work time reading posts on forums I like to traverse.

I mean, another counterpoint would be that you ask who cares. You obviously care as well. You took the time to tell people what's what. To merely try to prove a worthless point is to make said worthless point worthwhile. You put yourself on the spot light for no reason because you supposedly don't care... Right? wrong. You got fed up with what you considered hardcore should be like, and hopped on the band wagon to standard. You hopped a fence and consider yourself above us. I'm done taking offense to this.

A few thoughts -

D3 has the same problems and that is why I never played HC in D3 nor did I know any high level Witch Doctors that seriously played it.

The server always wins and it is just too maddening to play HC when so many non-game realted things can happen.

My advice is to leave HC alone and keep track of your deaths in softcore.

Anyway, I feel your pain, but it's bound to happen.

nemesis mods are fun, and change the way you have to build and play significantly

If you die at weaver, you were never good enough in the first place.
- Enough said.

If you're a scrub, stay in scrubcore.
