I guess you haven't tried using aegis and afking at magera.
it was an exaggeration to illustrate a point about GGG nerfing the shit out of elemental resistances yet allows an item that creates a near immortal character.
AA builds spend almost all passives into pure defenses without being able to stack "just" life or es, and they give up a good ~50k dps difference.
And they nerfed reflect, like resists even matter that much now.
I tried an RF crit dagger build not long ago, and im pretty sure purity of fire gave me +6 with just 50% increased aura effect
Given that a level 23+ PoF gives 4% resists you should have had +6 after a 50% increase.
Am i missing something? Level 20 PoF already gives you 4% maximum fire resist.
I took the templar/shadow/ranger/scion aura clusters for a total of 50% increased aura effect and had 81% fire res with just a lvl 20 purity of fire, NO empower/+X level from items, and then i added rise of the phoenix + 2 ruby flasks for a permanent 99% fire res

You're not, I skewed my levels and went back to correct (literally within 30 seconds so kudos to the post speed).
