(sorry for link spamming but many people don't have good info on racing so I feel it's relevant/acceptable)
I've updated my racing guide significantly to include a variety of new topics such as skill gem discussion, classes, full walkthrough of Act 2, useful vendor items, and generally cleaned up a lot of the advice that was in there before to be more useful. Leave a bump/critique if you find it useful or spot any errors. Thanks!

The Time Investment /Points Reward ratio at this kind of race is horrible. 6 Pts for a 3 hour race is far too less compared to other races if you're not a Top ten racer.

Points don't get that much larger or smaller based on length. You'd find 1 week races even less worth your time. Races are for fun/competition. If you want the best points:time ratio, play the shortest possible races.

Do you think so? I got lvl 70 in the 1 Week race with 1d 10h played on my char. Thats a fifth of the race and I was rewarded with 10 Pts for lvl 70. If i would do a fifth of the 3h race (36 mins) I would reach approx. lvl 12; lvl 12 equals 1 Point reward .... I started late and wasn't in a mood for going for the jerk but got lvl 24 3/4 in a little less than 2 h, what yielded me 4 pts. I don't want to say that everything about races is to get pts; I just wanted to say that the pts. reward is not balanced. I really enjoy the competitive part of it, just my two cents

Oh, well, i didn't consider % of the race played, since any race but 24hr/1 weeks i play from start to finish. I meant direct ratio of points for time invested.
1d10h 10pts = 0.29pts/hour
1h55m 4pts = 2.09pts/hour
12min burst 2pts = 10pts/hour
Might be slightly different for people that do 1 hour in 3 hour races, etc. Likely still true that the shorter the race, the more rewarding. It's by design. They want to more heavily reward skill than time investment.

anyone else not received their points for this race yet?
/e do you have to survive the entire race to get the points in this one? I died with like 2 minutes left, and finished in the top 20 marauders.
