Account Hack?
" it dose prevent "hacks" it doesn't prevent you from getting your PC infected or your email compromised which would in effect negate the security measures. Or it's just a nice way of getting some extra bucks by the devs. Make a game, sell 10% of accs to the chinese, watch people rage, cash in again. I am using a token-fob email which I am certain was not compromised in any way. Today I have tried to log in only to get the information that my account is logging in from a new location (!!!) ... mine. Apparently the main location for my account should be China, since that is where GGG sold it to. Cleaned out from all the money, quality gems, 6L items, but they left the farming gear I had on me probably assuming the chinese person will need them to farm more money. Well I spent 50$ on this game and supported it through the worst of times (like the ever constant DC's at the start), but now I am done. There is no plan to reimburse me, even though I took every precaution and my account still got hacked. Good riddance.

That is completely ridiculous. To even suggest that the devs would compromise their credibility by selling accounts. So preposterous. If your account was hacked with a 2-factor authentication system on your email, then either you haven't logged into the game since the new security system was implemented and they were able to set themselves as the initial login address or they were able to access your email from an already established PC like your own.
I definitely don't believe that GGG sold your account information. |

Aquire Paper. Preferably note-it or w/e they're called. Little notes with weak glue on the top of em Aquire Pencil. If you have none of the above, pick up your cellphone. Write down a combination of letters and numbers, even symbols if you wanna GoPro. Put this little paper on the side of your PC or inside your lunchbox or inside girlfriends Va-China. Change your password to the shit you just typed down. Wait about 10 days Repeat / never been hacked since my brain was developed enough to understand this spacealien technology. My account was hacked too.
All of my good Stuff was stolen, all Quality Gems, all Orbs and so on. I played online Games since many years but this was the first time ever that any Account from me was compromite. Btw. i played never on other Computers, i shared my PW with noone. |

I also got the unlock code mail a few minutes ago. Logged in and a lot of my stuff gone.
No big deal since I haven't played or been logged in since early february and didn't have much. My password isn't used for anything else and not written down on my computer.
