The Illusion of Complexity
So many skill gems, yet most are either buggy as hell (eg cyclone) or just weaker than other choices. Most people use the same select few skill gems, while the rest are the domain of newbies, until they find out that that skill they've been using is terrible when compared to the "viable" few.
Expansive skill tree, yet many of the nodes are just useless, or comparitively weaker than others. Most people use the same select few passives (eg life nodes), while the rest are the domain of newbies, until they find out that their passive tree is terrible and they need to reroll into a "viable" build. Plenty of items/mods, yet many are just useless (eg reduced requirements) or just weaker than others. Most people look for the same set of optimal mods regardless of their "build", while the rest of them are the domain of newbies, until they learn that gear should be +life/%def/+def/res/res/res or it's vendor trash. Uniques are mostly trash, with a handful of useful low-level/common items, and a handful of high-level/you're-never-going-to-find-it-rare-trollface.jpg items. Once you cut the wheat from the chaff, there's not a lot of wheat left. Discuss. Many lewt.
Much desync. Such rewarding. Wow. According to forum mods "sandwich" is considered an offensive word. Who knew? This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

Completely agree.
I tried tons of different variations of passives and gear and most of it is just fluff with no real value. Add to that stuff like CI or RF where you positively have to have certain uniques / passives for it to be even half viable. In the end there is not a lot of choice involved. You know what you need to finish your build but it's an endless, next to impossible grind to get there. (if you're not just extremely lucky) It seems like the put in a great framework but forgot about at least half of the skills along the way. |

There is very little choice, only noob-traps.

Don't even get me started on cyclone btw. I used it for the majority of this build but I got so frustrated with desync that I decided to drop it. Before I did someone told me that it is Multistrike that screws things up, so I removed it.. resulting in less desyncs, true but now I didn't have enough mana to keep spinning. Rescpec to a ton more mana/mana regen, still not enough. Oh? I have to have blood magic or Soul Taker for this to work? Screw that and this broken skill.
Back to old annoying as fck heavy strike with its infuriating knockback bs. |

Completely disagree. Most skills/passive nodes are useful and viable if you build around them. There will always be some builds that are better than others, this is not chess after all.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

There are a near infinite number of viable end game builds but only a handful that are end game optimal.
Unless youre going for 100 on the most OP gunboat of a build possible, i do not see the reason to complain about build , skill and item diversity. IGN: Arlianth

" Cyclone causes a lot of desync, even without multistrike. And what's with this forum moderation? Anything GGG doesn't like gets moved to suggestions/feedback forums, where far fewer people will read/reply, while 90% of the threads left in general discussion could just as easily fit in to feedback or suggestions. What a fucking joke. Many lewt.

Compare to other ARPGs. Much more diversity than most. No one BEST build. Lots of variables builds. It's all relative.
