What Claw should I Craft?

I'm trying to craft an endgame claw which is better than what I'm using:

I don't have the currency for godly, but I figure I can top that claw with just two or three affixes, which shouldn't be impossible. The question I have is, what base should I use? What can get the highest DPS? I'm not really good at figuring these things out. I figure Vaal Claw has the highest base DPS, and the low APS would be nice for my mana, but does that mean it'll get less from flat damage affixes? Should I use the Noble Claw instead, which has lower base DPS but higher attack speed? Will that end me up with a better claw? And how much of a dip is it to opt for the extra 3% leech on a Terror Claw?

Any advice would be nice.

my advice:

dont craft.

buy some instead

ilev 80, droped at dual courtyard endbosses :-)
didnt checked the mods but it should go higher with divines. missing crit tho. droped as it is.

prolly ilev79 and self-crafted

Anything significantly better than what I'm running will cost me upwards of an exalt... Which I don't have. What I do have is tons of alterations and a few regals.

Yeah, like what is a claw like that worth? That's like 300pdps... I need something like that, but they're so damn pricy. :/

thats true but CRAFTING anything significant better would be much, much more expensive than buying one, pretty sure.

tbh, i think boths claws are not worth more than 5-6 exalts.

first one is missing crits,
second has low phys.

they are pretty even in terms of DPS outcome. maybe the second one is a bit better with a high crit build.

if the first one would have crit, i think 20-30 ex worth. but not sure, dont trade much anymore.
That first claw would easily be 15 ex in Dom, which equates to probably 20-25 in standard. 305 pdps is huge for a claw, and having a 6% leech base just makes it even better.

That's a gnarly claw.

Silly OP, there is no such thing as crafting in this game.. Only gambling.
But in all seriousness, unless you have tremendous wealth ingame, I would not try to craft. I have seen people spend thousands (5000+) alterations to get the basic mods on an item, without success, currency wasted. Hence, I recommend buying.

Rule of thumb for crafting in this game - if you ever find yourself asking "how could I craft X" or "should I use X orb on this", stop. You're not rich enough to craft. You will get far less return on your orbs trying to craft than you would buying an item yourself.
Chaosing or alch will get you better then what u got probably
Guys, I've been playing since the start of open beta. I know how crafting and orbs work, and I know how the economy is heading. I just don't quite understand the math underlying how weapons work quite as well as I ought to. I understand this seems like a bad idea. Can anyone please give me an answer to the question?
