1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD

So im wondering what I am doing wrong. Currently I am following this build to a T. Here is my current setup:





Now the purpose of this guide is to make ground slam your primary move. I dont know what I'm doing wrong, but it takes FOREVER to kill a group of same level mobs with ground slam. I'm talking 5-6 slams before things start to die.

However when I leap in, and Sweep, they usually die in 1-2 sweeps. I could Heavy strike individual mobs and kill things faster then Ground Slam does. What am I doing wrong? here is also my current build:

If I wanted to make this build viable with a 2h axe, where would I swap out the points? Obviously all the mace points, but I dont see many axe nodes close to the Marauder tree.

some gems are wrong or are missing.that added fire damage gem is a support gem so it will only work if you take it in a skill gem linked place. like ground slam -(link)- meele physical damage -(link)- lifeleech -(link)- added fire damage. every skill should have that gems, like heavy strike and sweep( exept leap slam, thats just for escape).i did take a 5L weapon so i could add faster attack (REALLLLY awesome!)i would even take fire dmg out for faster attack. there is 1 think that you should take at the skill tree, Berserking. i did take it really late but after that your attacks are faster. i do 1500 dmg with ground slam and 2600 with heavly strike( lvl 60 atm)

so i think the main thing thats wrong in your build is that there arent enough linked supporter gems for your skills

I am myself at act 1 merci at the moment and some mobs are really terrifing, i lose like 50%-60% hp with 1 hit ^^ i dont know if thats normal but i think so without enduring charges i just get 18% armor :P (full resi (chaso -20%)) thanksfully i am playing default but still, man they hit really hard :P good thing is i could do everything solo till now so i love that build. Thank you arab :P

I won't believe people are that stupid, they don't link support gems to skill, and wonder why it does not work

look at his boots.... maybe he just add them there because he want to lvl it but dont had the space for link? dont know

Armour Master will buff my MS a lot?

Haha, problem is your Sun Plate:

the Ground Slam gem is NOT linked to the support gems. I know, it looks like there is a link but that's the Sun Plate design trolling you. ;)

And you should stop using Sweep on this level. Usually you don't want to be surrounded in late game, so stop getting used to it.
And taking out Sweep will free an additional socket space.

dont you use heavly strike? and that mana reduced sup gem dont help you there.EVERY supporter gem needs to be linked to one or more skills gems or they dont help you, you get nothing from them.

Thanks for all the replies. To answer you guys I know that a few of my support gems are currently placed in odd areas. This is just so i can keep them leveled until I find 4L/5L gear to put them in.

My Current DPS for my moves are:

Ground Slam - 473

Heavy Strike - 1027
