You can also disable the global chat.

You can turn off global chat in the options.

The first thing I do is hide the global chat.

Maybe RO's mute option should me used - Spam gives you 15 min mute on all chat channels.

So if I go to the bathroom and a roommate jumps on my computer and mashes a line 10 times I'd be auto-banned? Yeah, not going to happen. Deal with it. Auto-mute is all that's needed.

What do you live with 2 year olds? Who waits for a Roomate to use the restroom then jumps on their PC and spams a chat room. If thats seriously a concern you need new living arrangements. Spamming chat serves not other purpose than to troll, wouldn't mind a automatic 72 hour ban myself.
