How rare are town portal gems?

I never found one in months before the wipe and got one just now, were they made common or did I get lucky?

Saying that in a different way- you have been playing for months and only found 1 portal gem.

After playing for about 8 months or so with 4 or so 60+ lvl chars, I found only one 2 weeks prior to the wipe.

I found 2 after 3 months of CB, so maybe I just got lucky.

I didnt see any announcement to have it changed, so I guess its still same rare.

i would say you got lucky.
I had been playing for months then the day after one of the patches i got 2...since that and after a character wipe during closed beta i've not seen one since...that like 6 months Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi
