It is if blue and red have to co-exist. Then you have a brown that neither likes. That's exactly what will happen. You'll have a game that neither party likes. Each side will blame the other. Each will think the other side is getting more attention or a better deal. GGG will be stuck in the middle and have nowhere to go.

No. This is too negative view and I don't believe it will happen at all. I say we all can co-exist in peace and harmony, lol, I'm sounding like some old hippy now : ) Really if you take effort in reading all that I've posted in OP you'll see the idea, I know it's big task but at least later you can argue better ;)

Those options were suggested long ago but I guess it is not bad if GGG can read them again in one OP. However I suggest not craving for attention like it comes across in the OP but just get this thread right in the appropriate forum, especially if you do not really seek a discussion anyway. :-)

GGG will be able to see it there.
If you want to make sure, post it on reddit, too.

No because everyone who spams general with their pet projects feels the same way. It is still a form of spam.

No you are dead wrong. Let's leave it on that because there is hardly anything intelligent left to say.

Instead of having ONE thread discussing about Self Found ( forget the specific league, it won't happen ), there are plenty, most often created and animated by always the same people, so yes, it's kind of spam.

No because everyone who spams general with their pet projects feels the same way. It is still a form of spam.

Apparently the mods and GGG disagree with you.

Currently. I guess however I could do what the pro SFLers do and start 100 threads a day telling GGG to merge all new SF threads with the old thread. If I don't get the response I want, I can rinse and repeat. And I guess because the devs, and you of course, think that it isn't spam I can keep at least one at the top of general.

There is no compelling reason to start a SFL other than a bunch of people who think the grass will be greener there. It wont be. They'll be back whining that the Standard leagues have it too easy and that they DESERVE better treatment. It's not going to happen.

Your not a dev or at all psychic. So quit pretending like you know everything.

Works for me, I think you should do it! And I mean that seriously. You might inadvertently do the SFL'ers a favor.

I'm perfectly capable of ignoring threads that I have no interest in so it wouldn't bother me a bit...

I don't see why a SFL needs increased orb drop rates.

This was not final proposition. Personally, I think slight increase in orb drops could solve many of issues this game has /if suddenly turned to self found.

Personally I don't need to see more orbs, we could solve this by drops, recipes, whatever. Point is that game should not be more easy, and that 80 level player should have fair chance in acquiring one 5L item. That's all, I would hardly call it "make it easy" like some people say.

But that's entirely the point!

There's nothing wrong with the drop rates for orbs. The problem is that your expectations are too high.

I found a five-link axe the other day. I put it in my stash for another character to use. See how that works?

Your (and my) aversion to trading has NOTHING TO DO with the drop rate. It is nothing more than a self-imposed rule because you don't like trading. Which is fine - there's nothing wrong with that, but it certainly doesn't deserve its own league.

Again, The drop rates are fine the way they are, but you need to adjust your expectations if you aren't willing to get your hands dirty and trade for stuff.

For SFL to work, you have to realize these fundamentals, and the OP should put these into his post

1. As you progress into endgame, the gear you need to find ends up becoming more specific, more min-maxed and more rare. The reason why SF currently sucks so much in PoE is that due to the huge mod pool (specifically for certain items, i.e. staffs) the odds of something dropping that you need are incredibly low, throw ontop of that links and fusings, and yeah, you get where I am from

So to solve the above, this SFL needs to implement one or more of the following ideas, else its just going to suck, because currently if you want to do any endgame content, you are forced to trade to get the items you need, and the game is balanced around that

1. More reliable crafting. That is, spending 1k fusings to go from 5L to 6L, 800 jews to get a 6S etc etc.
2. Vendor recipes that do #1 + some other things
3. Special orbs that let you transfer properties of one item to another, while destroying the item you are transferring from. So if you find a 6L, one of these orbs can transfer the socket properties of that item to one that you are holding, but it will destroy the 6L you found in the progress. Obviously a rare drop
4. A way to skew drops depending on what you are playing. That is, if you are playing a marauder, you are much more likely to get a sword than a bow (This is currently very difficult to do and define)
