About the build:
What do you get when you cast 2 high damage skills together? What happens when the second skill's damage further scales off the first? We're here today to test that out.

This build's damage potential is insane. You will have two high DPS skills running at the same time; compare this against builds which utilize 1 DPS skill at a time. Enemies receive 530% of your health as burning damage per second(Translates to 21,200 DPS with 4,000 health). Add Ethereal Knives on top of this. Your spell damage is increased by 91.76% multiplicatively with a q20 Righteous Fire. Add a good wand and you hit a good 10k DPS Ethereal Knives. Even more with the right rings and necklace.

The minimum level to have this build reach complete viability is level 84. I strongly suggest leveling with a different skillset and only using this skillset when you achieve this minimum level. Once you have achieved this though, you will melt everything alive(people who abuse Aegis Aurora in PvP included). Also, invest any further points into %life.

You will have 95% Fire Resist with this build when all the gems are leveled up. Your auras are also 102% more effective. Abuse this fact. Run Grace and Determination to add 10,250 defence on top of any defence you already have.

This build does not have any problems dealing with one of the most prevalent killers; elemental reflect. dealing with physical reflect also just means stop spamming ethereal knives.

Finally got around to doing the calculations
Buffs on you are 24% more effective(passive)
0.5 x 1.24 = 0.62
Burning damage is increased by 60%(passive) + 70%(searing staff) + 59%(increased burning damage gem)
0.62 x 2.89 = 1.7918
Concentrated Effect Support Gem
1.69 x 1.7918 = 3.028142
Elemental Equilibrium + dual curse should will hit resist anywhere from -50% to -100%
3.03 x 1.5 = 4.545
3.03 x 2 = 6.06
(4.545 + 6.06) / 2 = 5.3025
You'll be dealing an average of 530% of your health as damage to enemies.

Defensive Information

You take 111.6% health as fire damage per second, which is reduced to 5.5% of your health through 95% reduction. Vitality added with your base health regen hits 7.03 health regen, giving you an excess of 1.53% health regen. Your base defence will sit at 10,250 Without any equipment. Just remember not to equip anything with high energy shield.

1.65 x 2.02 = 3.33
3.33 + 3.7 = 7.03

Burning Damage Taken
90 x 1.24 = 111.6
111.6 x 0.05 = 5.5

Total Health Regen After Burning Damage Taken

You will be running 4 auras; grace, determination, purity of fire and vitality. This will reserve 78.384% of your mana. with a minimum of 428, you will be left with at least 92.216 mana to play with. Since we'll be running our skills on life, going to see if i can optimize this even more.

40% Aura Costs
40 x 0.56 x 0.71 = 15.336
15.336 x 2 = 30.672

60% Aura Costs
60 x 0.56 x 0.71 = 23.856
23.856 x 2 = 47.712

Cost of Auras Total
30.672 + 46.712 = 78.384

100 - 78.384 = 21.616

hmm i'm like 16 regret orbs off this set up and i can just skip the faster projectiles for now and try this as a lvl 79 but the problem is I have all the health nodes on your tree and my health isn't that great
Yeah. Subsequent points should be used to get more health. This point of the build concentrates on achieving as much DPS as possible. Most things won't even get close enough to do any damage. Ranged monsters can't do much damage either with the minimum 10,000 AR from this.
I looked at my tree and I think I have a better set up. remove mana leech from righteous fire and use use concentrated effect



Use this robe and run clarity with all the aura boosts and reserve and reduced mana it will only reserve like 120 life. drop lightning warp and just put clariy+ reduced mana on shield.

Now you have all the mana in the world : )

or add clarity to your link 5 and put flamability +faster casting+ reduce mana on shield

you can put the robe on just to activate clarity then switch to your main body armor

EDIT: What about using a 4 link searing touch to activate RF? it works once activated put on wand and shield. So could enter an area put on robe activate clarity put on main body then put on searing touch and activate RF then switch to main hand and put on all auras

Ah sorry. wasn't aware that those supports don't work with righteous fire. If they did, it would've meant that righteous fire's damage would increase up to 99.2%. Will be editing this. Thank you for the help.

Since you'll be running dual curses, you can go ahead and pick up Avatar of fire as well if you'd like. You'll be doing about 85% of the damage as you'd get without taking this, but you will also negate almost all reflect damage(Due to 95% fire resistance. You will negate physical reflect and lightning thorns. Keep in mind that you will still have all of your DPS with Righteous Fire, so your damage output will still be insane.

Righteous Fire Damage
50 x 1.24 = 62
62 x 1.7 = 105.4
105.4 x 1.59 = 167.586
167.59 x 1.69 = 283.22034
283.22 x 1.4 = 396.508
396.5 x 1.7 = 674.05


The fact righteous fire's added spell power is multiplicative ("more" spell damage) does NOT mean that any boost to it's AoE fire burning damage is as well. So RF's fire damage would rather be :
50 x (1 + 0.24 + 0.7 + 0.59 +0.69 +0.4 +0.7) = 50 x 3.32 = approximately 166.66% of your life. Nice but nowhere close to 675, and not that much considering this is lv65-70+ and end of merciless/map mobs have a lot of life


Also your build totals up 128% increased life... and that's VERY LOW. You can't always expect everything to die before it comes to you. Some monsters are around a rare with 'allies can't die', others are quick or can jump, and you take damage from a distance as well, not only physical but also big and strong spells. Remember that RF is centered around you. It will not kill ennemies on the edge of your screen, absolutely not ^^' And currently, its fire aoe burning is of no use as you are too squishy to "burn enemies down" around you ! (implying burning is damage over time and enemies that wont die immediately will proceed to hurt you bad). Now EK is a lot of damage, but this is still too squishy ^^' Lastly, faster projectiles nicely increases EK's range, but remember its starting range is really low. Meaning you might want Ballistics Mastery in ranger area as you go close to it anyways :)

Sadly this will simply not work as it would have all your auras run off Life, wich is not a good idea ^^'
Sorry. Did these calculations around 4am.

It would appear that you're partially wrong as well though. Debuffs end up working as multipliers. These numbers won't be as high as I've originally stated, but they also won't be absurdly low like what you have said. I will be updating this in the coming days.

And the answer to low life? Belly of the Beast. It's easy to get the colors necessary for EK. +40% life also helps quite a bit.
