Feedback: Crafting sucks. How about we make orbs always upgrade?
Not sure about "always upgrade", but the idea of losing both currency and progress just makes me go WHY? Why does there need to be an element of *frustration* to a *game*?

" His post is a strawman because the OP never said he wanted gear in an hour, he just wanted a step by step long term process to obtain gear. OP doesn't mind if it takes a long time, but he like the vast majority of people that don't play 60+ hours a week are pretty tired of getting RNG'd at level 60+. Not to mention, even with the suggestions the OP posted, you cannot roll the best items in an hour, because you first have to level a character to the highest item level, and then roll the correct items. There's still a degree of RNG in there, so you might just get a completely random roll that you don't want (trolololol max light distance). So yeah, Slayer pretty much strawmanned him. The amount of its I find and have with the correct mods but not top tier is HUGE. Therefore, I, and many others would have the very best gear possible in an hour. Probably like 10 min.

" You still have to level the character all the way to the maps with max item rolls, so it doesn't take 'an hour' to get the best items. And no, you wouldn't have the best possible gear in an hour. You'd still have to roll constantly to get maximum affixes, which is complete RNG at best. For example, people have spent thousands of alterations just to roll tyrannical mods on a weapon. So yes, what you did was pretty much a strawman. You oversimplified the OP's argument and just said OH YOU'RE GONNA GET BEST ITEMS IN AN HOUR. That's not possible at all unless you get absurdly lucky. The easiest way to do it (based on OP suggestion for affixes/mods) would be to roll the highest tier mod that you want such as tyrannical. As stated, that takes lots of alterations, sometimes 600+. Then you have to regal and pray that you get a mod that you want, otherwise your item is fucked. Then you have to exalt, so on and so forth. It still takes well over an hour to get the best items in the game even with the OP's suggestions. The only thing that would happen is that everyone would have 6 links end game, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Last edited by allbusiness#6050 on Nov 30, 2013, 1:25:27 PM
