Removal of the naked chained women from the health and mana globe

Really Jason? I try to prove a point by posting a picture of violence + a picture of a nipple, trying to point out how WRONG it is by society to view violence as ok but nudity as not ok, and you CENCOR the post? You do realize you are contributing to make this twisted view on human values even worse?
Stop the bashing, guys. Unlike the feminist revolutionary in the other thread, this OP actually makes a valid and agreeable point about the female figures not thematically fitting in with the rest of the game. If you spare the time to read the post, you can clearly see he's not ideologically motivated.

And I do agree with him, not because I'm offended, but because I do feel the ladies actually hurt the coherence of the art style (in the same way Piety's portals and the upcoming Storm Call beacons do).
Have you made a cool build using The Coming Calamity? Let me know!

I dont see why they dont do the easiest solution of them all. Make one male and one female = solved. Or make the statues into demons :P Not that it needs changeing at all tbh.

Edit: I actually never even noticed them before someone brought it up here.

Hi

I agree with ouroboros226.
I am curious if the chains were removed or a man added to one globe in chains would equal it out? How about the man characters get the women and the women characters get men chained to health/mana balls?

I don't get why a person would play this game if that is a issue?

I don't find it sexist at all considering this game has a strong S&M feel through out the whole game, thus strong undercurrents of sexuality.

If it really came down to it though perhaps GGG could add a kiwi on either side but this is otherwise so trivial to argue about chained women to health/mana balls, it is just a game, I don't even notice them otherwise.

I think the naked statues in the whole world should be destroyed because they feel like cheap eye candy and might induce perverted thoughts into the most innocent of minds.

/sarcasm

Or just realize that the parents are the main culprits of children education (or lack of), and should stop blaming media for it, out of which games are the most heavily regulated, lightest offender of any sort of values.

You play a game where you KILL PEOPLE to get stronger. You also play as an exile....criminal.... You Kill, kill and whats that? kill... but some artistic scantily clad art twists your panties? Lol. Hypocrisy....

You people are very petty arguing with each other the way you are, you aren't even focusing on the issue at hand. It's nothing to do with being offensive, or morality or anything like that, it's about relevance to the game.

I think what the OP is trying to say (though he may have deviated from it now) is that: There is nothing wrong with the statues holding the globes, but they could be replaced with something more appropriate to the idea of containing/protecting Health and Mana, and that would be much better.

Thank you both so much for taking the time to read my message ! It is exactly what I meant.

Oh look. http://www.reddit.com/r/srsgaming is leaking again. And here I thought we'd be done with this once Ganrao left...

I can not prove it in any way, but I do not even have an account on reddit ! If you do not believe me, though, I do not care the slightest.

What about the Rogue Exiles roaming around doing whatever in their power to cut you down, what about PvP where you fight over nothing other than a flag or purely for the fun of it.

What about them ?
Well, I would say that the Rogue Exile show pretty much the same thing as the three bandits : not everyone is nice and willing to cooperate. Some are bastards, that will try to take advantage of you. But none of them tries to enslave you, and none of them seems to have slaves. Except if you consider the pets as slave ;).
As for PvP, I consider it in the same way I consider small bugs dropping ringmail boots, or broken statue being transformed into zombies, or people being reincarnated after dying without no-one even noticing, Kenny McCormick style : a game mechanic rather than part of a story.
But even if I was considering it part of the official story, it would just show some violent hobby from strangely reincarnating entities rather than some slavers' gladiatorial combat. I mean, every player taking part in PvP is doing so by its own will !

but, really, actually PLAY the game

I did, and I still do. I have currently finished two more achievement than you do, for instance. Yeah, I do not play as much as some people over here, but that's not because of the chained pin-up, and I never pretended it was. The lack of a Linux client, and the fact I lack of a powerful personal computer have much more influence on how much I play.

It's not that I agree nor disagree with your point, it's just this is plain ridiculous and such an unimportant thing to spend time on while there are other issues pending, such as desync.

Desync is a technical issue, that has totally different people with a totally different set of skills working on it. But you are right that there may be other, more important stuff to be done first, like eliminating repeat look like they did for helms (which was glorious !) on every other equipment piece.

Funny, now even the developers are acknowledging some members of this community can be very toxic :). Not everyone, of course, but seriously, some people just need to tone down their aggressiveness. We all enjoy the same game, we should not try to piss off each other as much as possible !
Please remove the chained naked women from the UI, thanks GGG!
Just ban the whiny OP.

Problem solved.

Or lock this thread because this seems like nitpicking.

I'm pretty sure nitpicking isn't against the forum rules. :P
