Well, i was brought here aswell by TotalBiscuit´s Video. I heard about this game a few month ago, but i thought it had a long way to go till beta, so i forgot about it until today. And now i want to test it out :P
I dont think the invite method is a bad system. Might seem a little unfair to people that contributed to this forum since the beginning, but those people should know enough other members to get a friend-key anyway. Or are those that rare?
Anyway.. I think its just fair to randomise the key output and to give anyone an equal chance at getting a key.

I find it funny how there are people trying to justify beta invites to players that havent been active for other a year or even 5 months and to those people that joined waited 5 hours and got in wtf HOW CAN U TRY AND JUSTIFY THAT! I dont think I deserve to get on I would love to get on and I would contribute a whole lot but right now theres players that post everyday for 2 months and still dont get in. Those players take priority. And by the way there is ways of making beta invites far more speicfic to those people that dont know I worked on a beta invite model for Global Agenda and that was only for those who were active on the forums for over 2 months posting everyday it doesnt need to be random anyways come troll me or w/e and keep justifiyng it I dont care anymore

Well i agree that active people should have a higher priority than new members, or inactive ones. Inactives might even not use their keys if they already lost their interest in the game.
But the game devs chose a randomized invite system and i still think its a good decision, because while the beta is running the game will apear on a LOT of gaming sites and magazines and new people will appear on the forum everyday. To keep them interested there should be a possibility (as small as it is) to join this beta, just like the actual system allows it.
Again, Yes, active users should take higher priority, but don´t scare away new guys if you take away their chance to participate in the beta.
