Constant "Unexpected Disconnection Occurred"

Just thought I would point out that the issue I was having has seemed to disappear. I've been playing fine without any issue. My guess is that it had to do with the heavy server load and/or has been patched.

Again, no issues, has self resolved. No changes on my end.

Unplayable

Been playing for weeks, now all of a sudden this evening its really bad. Disconnecting every couple of minutes regularly. Totally unplayable. Gigabit Ethernet connection to brand new router with 50mb d/l 5mb u/l connection. I can ping the gateway steady 50ms from dos all day long without a single lost packet. But while playing the game.... horrible.

have to agree, playing on hardcore this is unacceptable, playing from California on us gateway 50/25 mbps connection.

Same here. Playing from Czech rep. through the Europe gateway. Turned off antivirus+firewall, tested the stability of my connection - everything seems fine. The game is unplayable like this.

It's getting worse every day. Playing from Austria there are only very small time windows during whitch the connection remains some kind of stable.
Most of the day those "unexpected disconnections" occur every 2-5 mins,sometimes every 30sec, making every progress impossible.
I tried all 3 gateways, but that makes no difference for me.
During closed beta and most of the time in january i had no such problems at all, or at least only a few hours a day.

Patch notes 3 days ago :
We have made massive strides with server stability. Our number of "unexpected disconnections" per day is now one thousand times lower than it was in launch week. There's still more to fix, but we're getting there. We're also getting a lot closer to the 0.10.1 patch (which contains larger improvements rather than these small fixes). At this stage it's probably 1-2 weeks away.

Since then, the connection stability was really ruined for me......
I know they declared games status "closed beta", and yes the game is basically free to play, but having supported this fabulous game I now ask the devs for some really sufficent support in the near future.
This game is way to good to pass on it, connection problems MUST be fixed :)

Hey guys, Playing from South of Brazil, and was the same thing: "Unexpected Disconnection Ocurred" and have another problem, I can't chance my screen resolution.

I want to play this game, I saw a lot of videos of this game, and it's amazing!

Another one from Portugal that has this error.

Dont know how stable was the game since i've started playing PoE a couple days ago and can only play like 2-3 minutes after entering the starter area.

Same for me Canada, america server

This happens a lot to me, but tonight I cant even play more than 5 minutes without being dropped to login screen with "unexpected disconnection ocurred" error.

I ant even think about logging into my hc characters with this going on.
