The GGG way: Promote a gem , make people make build around it then Nerf it

Be on the lookout for the next build to be nerfed, as will be shown at the next build of the week (which is about pure power <--- such blatant bait)

haha no, im sure CwDT needed some kind of nerf but i dont really care cuz I didnt use it or moreover didnt have the gem so it didnt affect me one bit.

Those whiners should be happy that this gem didn't met same end as one of the old skills new players most likely doesn't even know of. Old players should still remember the green gem which was in pretty much 100% of builds, which later on was removed from game and quicksilver flask added.

I'm not bashing new players, i just told that new players mostly doesn't know that before there was a skill that was used pretty much by 100% of players and later on was removed completly from game.
If you dont know it then you can check it in wiki (search for Phase Run)

Also i totaly agree that CwDT needed a nerf. Because if 1 gem can make you skip most of defensive passives in tree and still be incredibly tanky then that gem is seriously OP.
The gem was broken and they fixed it. You can still use it for decoy totem, skeletal totems, lightning warp totems and curses.

I recall something about a low level one being used with enduring cry and a high level one with immortal call...I could be mistake..

It sucks you lost currency, I bought at 8 chaos...day later patch notes...You sniff it up and move along.

I feel like they forgot that having to take damage was in itself a drawback, and would have been better off having it require less damage taken as it leveled (opposite of how it is now), and adjusting those amounts, instead of nerfing it to the ground. Would that simply delay the state of the game as it was with the gem at level 1? Probably, but as it is now there are a lot of nice combinations with the gem besides enduring cry that got hurt pretty badly as a result of the level cap, making a lot of the builds I'd thought up basically unplayable.

I hate to seem like I'm piling on, but I really feel they could have handled it better.
CODT definitely needed a nerf, i'm just surprised they released it in the state it was. And ya, I definitely don't appreciate these during ladder nerfs (purity being the big one), hoping they cut back on these negative changes for a while.
