Yes its completely strange for a character to have to take large amounts of damage to use cast on damage taken well.

To be fair, GGG promoted the gem to be leveled up, but no one was leveling it up.

New gems are going to be added on a continual basis, gems added (after) beta - those gems will be changed. Old gems will be changed in relation to the new gems being added. Lots of things will change when new content patches are added (like A4) and things will change in relation to the additions of new types of content found in the 4-month leagues (like the shrines for example). I am not sure why this is difficult to understand.

I see the reality, its ashame you do not. I'm not a fanboy but I understand balance changes. Its a shame too many of you "cry babies" can't see what was wrong and why such things needed balancing. Like previous guy to you mentioned, he didn't spec any defence and could completely rely on one gem, which kind of mitigates the tree, which kind of breaks the point of the game ;/ Grow up.
