Nice graphic for a java game, but i dunno why, it has a little lag spike when you run, even with low graphic. And imo that's what ruining the gameplay.
The game is too much grinding. Grind an area till lvl 10 because you can't get to the others area, they are too hard. You dont level that fast and you have to do quests that is not already translate in english. They give you a lvl 6 quest at lvl 3, and I can't even kill these packs of monsters without using all my health pot and im lvl 7. But it's still a beta, we can't criticize it now, many updates and improvement remaining. |

Drakensang Online, a free-to-play action-oriented fantasy MMO, is the browser version of the popular PC game titled The Dark Eye: Drakensang (D&D) from German-based Radon Labs.

The grind to farm ingame currency is far too boring to make the game worthwile.
It is a great example of pay to win game! You need to buy special keys for harder dungeons (with better loot, but after you completed it you will need to buy another key if you want to replay that dungeon), you will need tons of identify charms (but the drop rate from monsters is quite low). So for impatient people the game is all about buying their ingame currency! If you don't mind not having the best gear for your level, sell or drop some unidentified items it's kinda nice while waiting for PoE, Torchlight 2 or Diablo 3. Just my 2 cents Last edited by NewParadigm#6344 on Feb 23, 2012, 2:16:43 PM

I like Drakensang online very much. I still can't believe that a browser based game can have such an amazing graphics, music and gameplay. So here is my short review.
Currently, you may choose only from three classes, Dragonknights, Rangers and Spellweavers which are basically warrior, archer and wizard respectively. You move from town to town where you get quests, repair items, buy stuff, all the usual things. After that, you go outside the town where you fight monsters. As you fight in the wilderness, you may come across other people. You may fight with them or you may ignore them and continue on your way. You may fight against other players only if you toggled the PvP option in town. As you fight monsters, various random loot drops - weapons, jewelry, money, and quest items. Every once in a while a health orb drops which heals you when picked up which reminded me of Diablo 3. So, to summarize: Good points - excellent graphics (for a browser game) - excellent music and sounds - lots of quests - lots of different areas - has a distinctive Diablo feel of hacking and slashing Bad points - you may only have one character per account - at the beginning of the game, stuff is quite expensive - the maximum level is only 40 - there are no nightmare & hell difficulties - when gaining level up, you don't choose stats nor skill points. You gain everything automatically. But, since the game is still in Beta, I think this game has a huuuge potential. I strongly suggest you give it a try, especially since it requires no downloads.
