General Discussion - D3 beta next week vs PoE Timer - Forum

But just an FYI there is no friends and family beta. It's just a beta. The friends families and media have been sent e-mail confirmations that once the beta goes live they'll be in, but no Beta has started yet. I'd love to be involved in both beta's, but I have terrible luck with this kind of thing, so I've more or less accepted the fact that I'll have to wait till mid November (estimated D3 release) or whenever POE hit the shelves (metaphorically speaking of course)... I suppose the only upside for me at this time is that I picked up Deus Ex the other day. It totally lives up to the hype! go to diablo inc website, its all over there in the news about beta pics getting posted and even blizzard stated that F&F is going on as we speak, there was debate as to open the beta starting tuesday of next week to everyone. Do you think your chance to get to D3 beta is bigger than getting POE key from timer? - I dont think so. ye i am also hyped for diablo 3 but it doesnt change the fact that I still want to play POE. There's nowhere on blizz's sight stating the friends and family beta is going on right now. The only post made by blizz says that friends and family (as well as members of fan sites and media) have been given confirmation that they will be in the beta. The only official timeline given by blizz is not this weekend (bashiok stated this yesterday) and before September 30th (quoted from jay Wilson @blizzcon). Personally I've come to terms with not being in either beta as I've stated in other posts. I just hope POE enters open beta before d3 hits shelves. We will disclose the exact date when we are sure ourselves" Your original post still isnt 100% true, not saying it might not fall under next week, only post i've ever heard of a date for the release date was Before Sept30th, doesn't necessarily mean it will 99% be this upcoming tuesday, still got like weeks after that where it can be sent. Just because the keys are out doesn't mean you can use them yet, previous betas give out keys and client downloads but dont allow you the ability to play the game right then. no, Blizz has not said FF get beta before anyone else. I'm sorry but you're wrong. "Gee Sixen, whoever gave you that info sounds like a real dope. You should probably just ask me from now on. We will be inviting F&F before we begin the closed beta, but we have not begun inviting yet. We'll let you know when we do." That's from D3 forums, posted by BASHIOK. He has said that they will have family and friends with media and fansite mods invited to the beta.
