Same here! Another point of confusion for me was "twink." I'll bet you think that means "to min/max," right? Nope. It means "to put a strong leveling item on a lower level character," or "a lower level character that has strong leveling items," or "a strong leveling item for lower level characters."
I knew before, what a twink is! :)
Gear has nothing to do with it. Twinking is just starting a new character after your main. So every character after your main one is considered a "twink". Of course you can use leveling gear for twinking, but it`s not mandatory to consider your char a twink.
But Urban Dictionary begs to differ here. ;)

And if you use "GG" because you think the buyer will never ever need another piece of gear and this itemslot will be "done", why the hell do you use that term on lvl 20-40 items?!?

Even if gg would mean godly gear in this case, it is still very much misused. in trade chat all i see ppl labeling their junk as "godly gear" and actaully expecting 10 exalts for a lvl 10 ring with 30fire resist and 20life because its gg.

When I first started this game, not having played diablo, I kept hearing the term "Twink" and wanted to know what it meant. So I googled it. Do. Not. Google. It.
And if you do google it, for the love of god make sure you aren't searching images.

I'm into S&M so I loaded up my duelist twink with GG uniques (even though he can't wear most of them) and ran into the Fetid Pool in Nemesis.
