Cast on Damage Taken

so, I take 440 dmg (at gem lvl 1), for example enduring cry (4 sec cd) triggers, now I continue to take damage (maybe some additional spells trigger, because every spell has its own counter), but the counter is "on hold", enduring cry CD finishes, and from now on I have to take another 440 damage so it triggers again.
1) am I correct with that?

2) does cast when damage taken now trigger my linked spell, or do I still need to take that remaining 40 damage through mobs actually damaging me?
2.1) how about blood rage? I take 4% of my life as chaos damage per second because of that. I have 3600 hp, this is 144 damage per second. does this count towards the cast when damage taken damage counter? Or is it - again - only damage taken from mobs?

3)Do spells cast by cast when damage taken cost mana?

1) Yes, it works like that.

2) You do. Using life for skills is 'spending life', not 'taking damage'. Damage over time effects like RF or blood rage also do not count as 'taking damage' (go figure), you need to be 'hit' for some amount for the counter to increase.

3) Spells cast by trigger gems do not cost mana.

Hey all, just had several questions about this, as I have not found one yet.

1) Does it respect cooldowns

2) Does the cast spell cost mana?

3) Can I use copies of the same gem to cast multiple times when damage taken? (ex, 3x fireball)

4) Is the target of the spell always the mob that dealt the damage

5) Is the "on damage taken" before mitigation, or after? (ie, 400 gross damage, or 400 net damage)

6) Not essential to answer...but can reflect proc this? If the spell does enough damage that reflect procs it, wouldn't that lead to infinite casts until either you or the mob dies?

Answers to any of the above are appreciated!

Edit - Thanks for the answers so far, but it seems like people don't agree about #1, which is a key for me. If I get cast when damage taken on three different items, linked with enduring cry, will I get it to cast three times, or only once?

I cant find someone answering correctly to all your points so far so here we go...

1. CWDT(cast when damage taken) respects CDs(cooldowns) (it can't cast Enduring before CD is up, so goes for Cold snap if you don't have power charges to skip CD); CWDT also has built-in CD, it cannot activate in the next 250ms after activating (max 4 times per second) - you can connect as many Enduring cry gems as you want, BUT it will only cast ONE of them and will wait for the CD before casting again! Try putting the connected Enduring cry on your skill bar, it cannot be cast that way, but you will observe the CD.

2.Spells cast by CWDT cost NO mana

3. I think all trigger gems can cast multiple copies of the same spell (cooldowns respected, so no 3 enduring cries, but it can cast 3 fireballs no problem)

4. Target specific spells are cast at the mob, who triggered the CWDT (like curses, fireballs, etc.) AOE spells like Forst nova is cast as if you cast it yourself (you are in the middle). Corpse explosion is cast on nearest corpse i think. Etc..

5. According to my observations, every time i get enduring charge from CWDT, every next trigger seems to take longer to activate - so i think it is net damage, but not 100 percent sure.

6. Reflect will definitely proc CWDT! I love to play reflect maps with it, you are max charges all the time with CWDT/Enduring. :)

Linking multiple fireballs (nomatter what level the FB have) to one CwDT will only proc 1 fireball.
I actually tested that on a single skeleton archer: It takes longer to kill it with CWDT - FB (lvl1) - FB(lvl1) - FB(lvl5) than with CWTD - FB(lvl5).

BTW Linking several CwDT of the same level to one fireball also results in only 1 fireball.

Of course, CwDT applies a mini-cooldown to linked skills, not to linked gems and not to itself. So, it can trigger only one of each linked skills and having multiple CwDT gems doesn't help unless they have different levels.

Those in the OP post were necroed questions but they should be properly answered, I suppose.
