What the hell are you even talking about? Offline mode is mainly requested cause of desync and random disconnect-rollbacks or by people who don't have an access to a constant internet connection. And if someone did cheat in offline mode, what's your bother?

You would have to redevelop the whole game. As it stands, our online client does a lot of the talking, validation, rolling of items, etc from a remote location - hitting a host for this request. Literally, the recoding alone for something like this would take a ridiculous amount of time. Thousands of hours worth of work.

This game simply isn't designed to be played single player offline. Trading and groups are both fairly important, and the league interaction and such as well. It would be kind of silly.

Wont happen because of the work involved, but id pay a lot more than 60 dollars for it if it did.

Because you can hack the offline version means you can potentially hack the online version. if you cant afford a constant online connection you should play Diablo 2, that has an offline mode.

Not really. Just because you can hack something that's on your PC, doesn't mean you can hack GGG's server. Besides, this game will be hacked sooner or later. As a matter of fact, I strongly suspect it's already been hacked. If the game becomes highly popular, then it will definitely be hacked. PoE bots are a reality already.

What if people don't want to play D2? What if they want to play PoE? What a thought!

Anyway, I realize that an offline mode is very unlikely to happen.

My vote would be no.

If this were offline, I most likely would have gotten bored of it within 2-3 months max. It would take an extremely vast world to explore to keep my attention for a year or more.

Interactions with other players in game and in forum (such as this post)add a lot to the game.

If say 10 years down the road, GGG is done developing the game and ready to turn off the servers, then I think they should sell (or make available) an offline version of the game.
