[1.0.0] Dodge critical dagger: Spectral throw/double/Reave/Lightning/flicker bloodrage nonCI (video)

I'm having a really hard time on surviving.

Man... you really need to work hard to get better gears. Mainly with resistances! Although you've got a dagger better than mine.

Take a look at my gear:

I've been able to farm lunaris and even facetank Piety up until now.

My tree is like this:

My main concern right now is if this build will offer at least a little challenge for my opponents in PvP :)
Oh... Just forgot to mention. Until now I'm not using Grace aura just Purity instead. Because it offers me a solid way to survive against spell casters e things like that.
I like the look of this build and I already have the blood dance boots from a previous drop. I play in nemesis and was thinking of using the same basic build but going Claw instead (for a bit more survivability)
Here is the tree i was looking at

Yeah! It sure is a much better alternative in terms of survivability. I`m also thinking on changing the weapon focus nodes to follow your build to. Just holding until I have enough regrets and a nice claw ;)

Claws are an awesome idea for a weapon, when I started PoE I wanted to become a claw shadow however, with this build..being acrobatics and evasion, claw life steal isn't really needed...Think about it this way, with daggers you will be able to obtain higher dps (crit mutli/chance from a lot of dagger nodes).

Blood dance + a bit of chaos resist will negate the chaos dmg from blood rage. Typically, when farming piety/66-68 maps before my first death in nemesis, blood rage life leech with melee splash was enough to face tank all with the occasional use of a instant HP pot.

Back to what I said above about claws life leech...There are only a couple ways to die as this build and the most apparent is being one shotted (crit, spell crit, claws life leech won't save you). The goal is to kill the mobs asap, and imo dagger will accomplishment this better than claw.

Having said that, claw is better suited for ES or perhaps armor (definitely ES though). By all means though dude, go claw if you prefer that over dagger as a weapon. I just feel the strength in claws (life leech) will be wasted here.
I agree with you! Because of upper limit of life leech(life x 20% per seconds), too much life leech is waste. Kill mobs as soon as possible is the only way.

And it is really gear dependence with acrobatics fighting in harder dungeon such as sceptre of God final boss. Armor build will make your life gradually decreasing and actually it is much safer in maps and final boss fighting. Sudden death may be occurred with evasion build while your gear is not so good.

Well my Claw shadow died due to desync last night so I'll go ahead and give dagger a go.
Which way do you recommend going down the tree first?
Bandit rewards? Help Oak first and then what?

rip man :\ Grab all the life nodes first imo. I also take the resist cluster early on too. This is my current tree at lv58 (the chaos resist node is personal preference, I might eventually take it again, I need more chaos resist)

The three hp nodes (and 2 int nodes) get changed for second hp cluster near the middle of the ranger tree eventually (the 8, 8, 12). I also unspec out of the resist nodes as my gear gets better. I had a lot of trouble with cruel dom at lv50..I was really under leveled and didn't have phase acrobatics. For bandits hp > physical dmg % > frenzy charge. Also grab a Mightflay dagger at lv35! It will last you until either lv56 or lv58 for a great gutting knife or skinning knife.

This was my tree at lv71 when I died on my first guy. I'm not sure if I'll change anything this time or not.

Lastly, if you can get a 5 or 6 link chest man..dropping mind drinker for blood magic gems would be sweet. Wish I could get a nice 5l/6l :/
What would you suggest about the change in the Cast on Damage Taken gem? Level to around 10?

I'm not sure man. I personally have no experience with cast on dmg taken gem. I've been tossing around ideas because I'm rolling up to the quest right now. Maybe someone that uses/ed this build with cast on dmg taken can give some tips.

I'm just having a hard time seeing where this gem would be a good idea to use here. When you get hit, you take a lot of dmg so you can level the gem up pretty high, however the question becomes: do you get hit enough to take advantage of the gem? It might be better to cast the spells (curse, end.cry, spell totem+skelebro/decoy if you're into that). I was going to take the gem before the nerf because it sold for more than mulitstrike. (sells for 5ish chaos on nemesis now whereas mulitstrike goes for 7-8 still)
