Technical Support (Path of Exile 1) - FAILED CONNECTION TO THE INSTANCE (REAL REASON WHY) - Forum

Okay so first of all after release of a game i start having problem joining with EUROPE Gateway so i picked America , im playing solo all fine, but when i tried to play with friend! who is playing Europe Gateway i can enter in his created places only on ~4-6 time got Failed connection to the instance. The problem is that when you play with someone on a different gateway, when they create an instance and you enter it, you are then playing on that gateway as well. As you said yourself, you had issues with the Euro gateway, so when you log into the US gateway and play with someone on the Euroe gateway, when they create the instance you're experiencing the same root problem you had when you were using the Euro gateway. What we can do is look at your connection and try to figure out why its having trouble playing on the Euro gateway in the first place. Looking at the trace route you've provided for the EU gateway, the first hop is showing packet loss: \| 192.168.1.1 - 8 \| 14 \| 13 \| 0 \| 0 \| 1 \| 0 \| Are you using a wireless connection at all? The main thing that we need you to do is run a trace route to the actual IP address of the server/instance you're playing in, not just the 'login gateway'. (traces to the login gateway are used for a general diagnostic, but when the issues occurs on specific servers/instances, a trace needs to be done to that particular server) Let us know if you need help doing this.
