Changing name of Standard and Hardcore League to Legacy leagues.

I think it's pretty sad that GGG has entirely given up on maintaining balance in the legacy leagues before the game has even been released.



Ladder seasons in Diablo 2 werent necessary until many many years into the game's lifespan.

Agree. GGG should do something with standard and hardcore leagues (legacy leagues) because no one fresh and smart will play in those. For the start it would be great that PvP is enabled ONLY in Nemesis and Domination (we all know why)!

interview with chris where he says pvp will become a main stay in PoE and not just a niche.

to be honest...
lot of players dont want to play "4 months leagues" because they love their character but it doesnt mean that they dont want rebalancing changes.

This simply cutting of lot of players because you have 3 groups ...

1 group love ladder games - clear what they should play
2 group love balance and they want to keep their characters - standard
3 group love their items dont want any change to them and doesnt care about balance - legacy league

the only problem is that players who wants option 2 simply dont have this option because currently there is only

Legacy leagues (standard leagues) and ladder leagues

on the other side:
I think that they will surely disbale legacy items in PvP so it doesnt matter so much because it will affect only PvE and there will be always lot of builds which dont need these items.
