Give the devouring totem a try. Every corpse of a larger spider spawns three small spiders after a time. If you remove the corpse somehow, you've removed part of the problem

You're on a map man, you've already pretty much finished your build and to be able to tank you can use Life Leach (as I suppose you do) but I can't do it unless I find a 5L bow or chest...

It different to pass the time and waste time, I don't mind farming, as I, at least, gain exp, but waste so long to kill a (not even major) boss isn't pleasant...

Killed merciless weaver is about 5 minutes with a mere 2500/2000 single target/aoe frenzy ice shot crit ranger that's full evasion.

Pretty much just spammed skele totems on that her face and shot away. Pretty much all the adds die in 2-3 hits so it wasnt a big deal.

i have learned a few things from my experience with the weaver

1)Spiders "never" stop coming (last for like 10 minutes or so) if the weaver is alive
2)Sometimes spiders spawn randomly but mostly after u kill their companions
3)When u kill little spiders double the spiders u have killed comes down , this happens only when a certain number of spiders.
4)Spider arrivals have cool down , u will never see 30 spiders come down in the same time (after the battle starts obviously) Anyway this kinda messes up if u continuosly kill spiders
5)There is a limit to the number of spiders in the room but the limit is different when u kill no spider at all and when u kill a few spiders

(NOTE: I am not 100% sure on these ofc and they are based only in myexperiences with the boss)

So if u havent figured it yet , killing her is too easy if

1)U are able to tank everything and get rid of the weaver with single target dps.
2)get rid of the ads really fast and then go all in with the weaver , this needs both good (instant) aoe and good single target.

I personally always use fire traps and bear traps with some decoy totem.Firstly i gather all the ads with decoy , fire trap fire trap fire trap and they are all dead , they come in groups of 2 but the 2 second groups need like 10 second to arrive.I tank the 6 spiders there without killing none of theme and rape the weaver with single target.


Weak dps aoe will surely have problems (that 650 dps infernal blow at lvl 65 is awful :/) but if u gather them all together u will have an easy time.

Overall its a really interesting boss with many many mechanics , but it can be done with just a bit of good gear and groups .

Oh and w8 for the map version ;D , thats the real problem :P and it certainly needs less ads .

Enfeeble + Warlord's Mark (or Life Leach/Life gain on hit gem).

Seriously? The new weaver is waaaay easier than the old one. The ads meabs you get flasks for days.

But seriously, how are the ads giving you issues? Don't waste time killing them, just kite the weaver to the top of the map, the few times I've faced her since the update she doesn't really venture around.

Things you can try:

1) decoy/spell totem+skeletons
2) devouring totem (if your issue is fps related)
3) lgoh gem to heal large amounts off the ads
4) use a decoy totem to lure ads away from her
5) use a hard-hitting single target skill (frenzy or flame arrow) and just move away from the ads
6) you're way undergeared for that stage of the game, go farm fellshrine for more hp/dps/gem levels

I play an SA ranger and I just quit doing the weaver fight. Not even worth it. I can solo her, but in parties she does so much damage with that EK, she pretty much just 1-shots me. I have 12k eva, 3.1k life and do 32k dps, 20/20 loh,I'm no slouch. I think it's funny how every reaver thread that pops up, everyone is a badass that face tanks her, but when I'm in a group with 5 other lvl 85-90 characters, they always all get wiped out except for maybe one or two guys. This is PoE, where reflect is awesome, crafting is easy, desync doesn't effect anyone, and rng is rng. Nope, nothing to complain about here. Now if you'll excuse me, there's a hole in the sand where my head belongs.
