Disconnect when entering new area.

Whenever I enter a new area I get disconnected. It was fine last night.

Hey there,

Can you please run a trace route while you're playing so that we can see where the failure is occurring?

A guide for doing this can be found here:

Thank you :)

Checking over the details, the follow problem sticks out:
| 10.254.136.1 - 16 | 65 | 55 | 49 | 70 | 321 | 123 |

This is the first hop/point in your connection, and it is experiencing 16% packet loss and latency spikes in excess of 320ms.
Both of these issues would cause problems for you in-game.

Do you use a wireless connection by any chance?
No I use wired.

Do you have a Cable modem/internet connection?

Typically if you're getting that amount of packet loss/latency spikes to your first hop/point, there can be a fault with the modem or the connection itself.

I have a cable internet connection. Could it be that my NAT Is strict?

Strict NAT doesn't cause packet loss in WinMTR traces usually. It's either all or nothing in most cases. If it were a filtering issue, you'd get 100% packet loss because you wouldn't be able to ping at all. It wouldn't be selective and let some packets through but not others unless something was faulty.

not sure, but does your modem have an admin screen you can get into that has diagnostic utilities on it? A lot of them have a "tools" tab in the Admin page that allows you to run a ping test. Then again, a lot of ISPs disable the modem from being accessed within the network because they put them into "bridge mode".

If you can't access your modem, then you'll need to do some diagnostics yourself to determine the problem. I imagine you're plugged directly into it as I don't see any other routers or devices in your hops. Do you have a different network cable you could try? See if you run the WinMTR if you still get the same amount of loss to the modem.

If you still get loss, see if you have another COAX cable that connects the cable modem to the wall. See if it makes any difference.

If neither of those things make any difference, then the problem is probably outside of your control and would need a contact with the ISP to resolve. Either there is a problem with the modem, a problem with the wiring to the main cable hub, or some other issue with the signal causing the packet loss. All of which a cable technician should be able to find and resolve.
I'm at work right now but when I get home I will try my other Ethernet cable that I used yesterday.
Hi there. Get the same problem since 1 week.
