If it a problem with memory there are 2 things you can try.

1. Lower the textures to medium if they are not already

2. Right click the PoE shortcut, select properties and in the field labeled "target" you want to add -gc 2 so it'll look like

well thanks for your advices but actually the game never crashed after the 2gb size patch recently released. before i had crashes loading waypoints or switching areas but that didn't ever happen again since the patch. I m just a bit pissed that right in a battle the game crashed. Anyway thanks for your help

It can be also bug in game engine.
