Belora's MI/CI Pure Summoner Build
I suppose I'll post my CI/Summoner
It is nearly Identical to OP's Except that it goes the right side of the witch to save a few points late game. I've gotten the strength nodes for Decreased mana cost for Discipline and Wrath. With the aura setup, I only ever need to use a mana pot every now and then. Gear: Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable Unavailable If I had that wand that I saw earlier in the thread, I would abandon CI immediately and use it. Otherwise, I am working on getting a Unique dusk blade for the ES EDIT: The quality zombie is being leveled before I use it. Not trying to replicate the old multiple skills glitch. I moved this to it's own post :)

I'm working towards this build currently, but am only level 12 at the moment. I was wondering if you guys have any tips for the early game to make things a little easier and more efficient.

" I would head for Minion Instability first to make things a bit easier. Your minions are going to get owned early on (once the gem levels and they get more health, it will get better), but at least with MI, there is a good chance they will blow up for 100% of their health as AoE fire damage. Honestly, and this is gonna sound crazy, I am currently using potions to keep my minions alive and well as they tear through enemies. Sometimes it is easier to make sure my army survives than to try to keep raising corpses and not always keeping up (mana cost is high for a well supported zombie or skeleton gem and even with clarity it can be troubling to keep up when you lose a few at once). |

Thanks, sounds like solid advice. I didn't realize that using my potions would heal my zombies, so that will likely be very helpful once I level to the point that I can use support gems. I'm going to keep a lookout for that amulet (can't remember the name) that buffs my minions, too, but I'm not holding my breath over a unique.

" Your minions only get healed it if it noted as doing so on the flask, like this one (Check the third mod): Unavailable I believe they always have "of animation" at the end of the name. And sidhebreath is the amulet you want. Trading is a great way to get the things you want, or get rid of stuff you don't. :) Last edited by GoatEatingToilet#3170 on Sep 29, 2012, 2:15:32 AM

Whooooo! Orb of chance, I love thee!
Unavailable I now have the trifecta of terror here... Unavailable Unavailable (Still need to try to 4-link the boots though) Time to ditch CI and invest in some life, lol. I hope I have some regrets on hand. Last edited by GoatEatingToilet#3170 on Oct 2, 2012, 3:33:14 AM

" Did you just use an orb of chance on a regular lvl 40 grey wand?? Or did it have to have 3 blue gem slots already linked? Thanks :) The Pope quit, a meteor fell on Russia, an

" Just used the orb on a regular level 40 grey engraved wand. The quality and linked slots were already that way when I bought it from the vendor (or found it after a kill. I truly cannot remember, lol). It took about 30-35 tries over the course of a few days overall, but I think it was well worth it. Whenever I saw one that I could buy from the vendor, I did. Whenever I found one after a kill that I could use, I did. Now I can have an army of 14 Skeletons, 10 Zombies and 4 Spectres (yup, I'm actually using the spectres now, lol). An army of 28 minions is not too shabby. :p Last edited by GoatEatingToilet#3170 on Oct 2, 2012, 2:22:24 PM

Well I guess I share my build too, it's nothing special, but I must admit summoners are quite powerfull atm.
Maybe not fastest way to kill things, but definitely a safe way to play.
Spoiler
As you see I took all minion passives, because I like pure summoner idea. I also took Hex master, because you wont need to recast your curses again and because it's required to get Whispers of Doom. I definitely love this keystone because one curse is good, but having two curses on mobs and bosses is HUGE bonus. Usually i cast vulnerability+enfeeble, and let minions do they work while I'm inspecting loot on the ground. I think it's good build for starters because you wont need above average gear to succeed, just use whatever you find best with correct sockets and links, even blue items will work and its easier to stack IIQ/IIR which is the best part. Oh and it's worth noting, get spell totem support gem which is lvl 31 quest reward i believe, and attach it to skeleton summon ASAP, it will make your life much much easier. Cheers!
