Risen 2

I gave it a shot, but just couldn't really get into it. To be honest, the last RPG I've really enjoyed playing through to the end was Wizardry 8.

I tried out Risen for the first time this summer and there were a lot of things I liked about it (Interesting dialog, gold actually being VALUABLE, etc.).

But the things I didn't like about it pretty much killed it for me:

For one thing melee combat was atrocious and made fighting more than one enemy extremely difficult. Not to mention how several enemies were just downright cheap (I hate those friggin' ghouls...). I guess I'll just re-roll a character and see if being a mage makes things easier.

Risen 2 looks promising, they just need to revamp the combat from the first game. Otherwise here is a lot of potential for the franchise.

Risen was amazing, but as an old old Piranha Bytes follower that was not surprising. Eagerly awaiting the sequel, though pirate centric plot would not be my first choice.

Still, as long as it's good old but improved PB game, there will be no complaints here.
