[OSX] Unofficial Path of Exile port - 30/12/2018 status update

So I downloaded the recommended version, got the 3d error, fixed it in the production_config.ini, and now I get could not load art/textures/monsters/watermonster/temple_water_colour.dds error. Is there anything I can do to fix this ? (So far I'm trying to download another version found in the first post)

When running PoE port after reaching a certain point in the starter map it crashes and tells me that there's a severe error.

Still having the Failed resetting Direct3D device objects problem, even after following the resetting to fullscreen instructions, any idea how to fix it?

Hey so I downloaded the recommended file. I have the problem with the game not starting properly so I did what you said and I found production_config.ini, the problem is you say to change it to fullscreen=true. Where and how do I do this? If I click Production_config.ini it just says I can't open the file and there is no ctrl+click option that allows me to find anything called Fullsceen=False. Help me please I really just want to end this bullshit and get right to the game.

I continue to get massive FPS drops and it almost feels like some kind of 'memory leak' - its like the FPS deteriorates over time and as soon as I do a simple ALT TAB switch to any other window, then back to POE - the FPS is fine again for about a minute, then deteriorates again.
I sit in my hideout and spam skills and FPS is nice at 50. But in towns, or fighting mobs with effects on screen etc - or just after a short amount of time playing (as described above) the FPS drops to horrible lows and stutters. Its not really playable for killing mobs - I have to aggro like 2 - 3 mobs at a time otherwise I get massive stutters and freezes. Is there some kind of mandatory config text file modification to be done somewhere that I have missed? Are there any FPS tweaks anyone can recommend? I just feel like it could really be running a lot better for me - my system specs are : MacBook Pro i7 2.3 gHz OSX Yosemite 10.10.1 16 GB RAM nVidia GeForce GT 650M 512 MB I am running version 4.2.1 of the mac port. New test version available
V5 alpha 2: - based on Wine 1.7.31 with D3D command stream patch - Flickering should be gone now - Game should run much faster compared to 4x. (comparing to v5 alpha 1 it might be little bit slower) - Game stuttering/fps drops will still occur (OSX specific bug, there is no workaround, Either Apple fix the memory allocation conditions or GGG Devs will rewrite the game to not use mapfile* functions - both unlikely) - Unless some serious regresion against v4 is found, this will be new recommended version Last edited by julus on Dec 3, 2014, 2:22:48 PM
