Here's a one minute video I made of this suggestion, watch and give me your thoughts:

I agree. My ranger often stops shooting double strike when my mouse cursor is slighty off, I have the skill on "T".
Disregard witches, aquire currency.

There is possible plans that GGG could implement a hybrid key-binding control format, where each of QWERT could be assigned to be "instant cast", "toggle to RMB", or "toggle to LMB"; if this is implemented then it's easy to just e.g. have multishot as a "toggle to RMB" skill on QWERT, and you just hit the key then hold RMB to shoot; AFAIK mouse buttons are "sticky".
Thread (look for pics at page 6) http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/4116/page/6 Please come and support the idea so there's a greater chance of it being added to the game. [Hardcore league] IGN: Jeria / Metalgrid Last edited by jerg#4025 on Aug 24, 2011, 6:44:27 PM

The problem is, you use your mouse attack to targeting the mob, than you hold the button and you attack until the mob is death. so you can use your mouse for free circling around your character.
If you want the same with qwert, you have to hold the qwert button of you skill you want to use? The problem is, do you have a mechanical or digital keyboard. With a mechanical Keyboard, the holding should be possible, with a digital thanks to limit keypressing, not. I think so... |

" What are you even talking about? The keyboard can recognize when you're holding the key, repeat rate has nothing to do with nothing. Only terribly programmed games care about repeat rate. Repeat rate has to do with typing/word processing, it's never used in games. Go play a first person shooter. Your character isn't stuttering forward when you hold W, right? Of course not, the game knows that you're holding the key down. Joined Closed Beta 20th August 2011
