Iceshot animation kills FPS
hello im semi new to path of exile i made a iceshot ranger got to map level and now im forced to use another skill when i party with other ppl for maps the iceshot animation just kills the intire groups FPS i have been removed from groups aswell cause of this issue i strongly hope u will look into this GGG as im not the only person who has this issue.

It's really a shame too, because the ability has some of the best scaling for physical to ele conversion now builds.

The major reason I avoid places like Docks, Arcade map, etc... Those Ice shooters bring down my FPS even with settings at low and without shadows.

I have never had any FPS issues with this game - ever. I play with max settings always. I've been in groups with four Summoners and, while the amount of spell clutter covers the screen to the point where visibility is practically zero, I have never had any significant drop in FPS.
My assumption, when people say things like this, is that they have shitty PCs. So, get a better PC. It's 2013. That Gateway computer you bought in 2002 ain't gonna cut it anymore. regards the better PCs i just made my own pc 2 weeks ago it takes everything on max that said im running ice shot with LMP and chain + 7 frenzy charges when i hit larger packs it goes insane the cone covers the intire screen or well the 10000 cones behind every target hit thats what makes it lag also keep in mind summoners dont cause that much fps as they only melee hit theres no "animation" behind that with ice shot ur intire screen is covered in a new animation every time u hit:)

" PoE isn't CoD on ultra settings... and I "can" play CoD on ultra settings with steady 15 something fps if I wanted to do that, but PoE just spikes 1-2 FPS on certain animations even on Minecraft-style quality settings. Ice Shot comes to mind, the first round of skeletons out of the totem each area, Fireballs in general, even burning ground reduces fps by 1/3rd or something for no apparrent reason. |

@Firecrest5, can you post your specs?
Mine: i5 2500K quadcore, 16 GB system, GTX 550 Ti 1 GB VRAM (with GTX 570 2.5 GB VRAM was the same shyt more or less), "normal" HDD, Win 7 64 bit Actually, everybody should post specs When night falls

this is not a post for pc specs mate its a post for a skill ingame and while some ppl have amazing pcs and some have decent pcs its not really the point the point here is to get the lag issue with iceshot out there so plz stop posting replys for pc specs:)

Its not just Ice shot. Almost all effects are problematic to some extent. Here is FPS graph for a map with "burning ground" mod:
![]() Insane FPS stuttering. 1 - max 2 years old computer, cant run last gen graphics with almost everything disabled. Sorry for hijacking, but ICe shot is just a small part of the same big problem.
