Diablo 3 - Paragon Levels and what you think about them.

The paragon system is basically the D3 devs admitting that the level 60 cap was a stupid and poorly thought out idea that they shoved into D3 simply because it worked in WoW. Since creating more content for the higher level cap would take too muhc time and be too expensive they just threw in a handful of measly stat increases and called it a day. It's grinding for the sake of grinding in a completely blatant way.

" This is pretty much how I feel too. Essentially they just expanded the leveling portion of the game. I still see nothing to work towards once you hit 60 or beat inferno. The End Game in D2 came from creating rune words, or perfecting a build or working towards Uber Diablo. D3 decided to fix their end game by giving you another 100 character levels. The patch is supposed to fix the legendaries.. which is a step in the right direction..but I dont think they have the skill or the humility to fix all the problems in the game. I played today for about 2 hours, first time in several months. Collected 2 stash tabs worth of rares farming act1 (all my gear will allow). I got 2 Il63, which were garbage, and everything else was vendor trash. No recipe drops, still get 1-shotted from off screen (I play a DH) and half the elites had reflect damage on them. Save to say I was not impressed. Paragon lvl's are just another carrot on a stick. At least in POE I can pick another passive skill every lvl, which can lead to some interesting builds late game.

" pretty much how i felt about the paragon lvls. got to lvl 2 and a half still garbage drops. Not even worth lvling anymore. D3 had a chance to get me back but im done for good now. More poe :) Team kiwi

I was willing to give Diablo 3 one more chance with their new upcoming patch, but i’ve decided to stop deluding myself and just drop the game for good.

Kinda puts the nail into the coffin that D3 devs don't care about character customization, don't care about making decisions that matter, and in general don't care about fans of the previous 2 games.
