drops, as in anything other than alts and chaos you got from vendors? If you got 3 exalts worth of actual drops in 30 days, you sir, are very lucky.
And in any case, even if you only got 3 exalts worth of orbs through vending stuff and you're still buying their stuff, doesn't mean much.
What we need are the statistics on how many people in that or similar situation have quit or not paid anything versus the amount of people who have paid. I doubt GGG will release such information, because it would also reveal drop rates.
Before that happens, I'm going to go with the assumption (and I think it's a pretty safe one) that people are more likely to spend money on something they find enjoyable.

Nowhere did I say they adjust RNG once someone pays.
I said, that they calculated how many people they need to have giving them money, so their business can work, and adjusted RNG to fit that business model.

I never said people pay to get stuff, I said people who get stuff are more likely to buy stuff from their shop.

I'm gonna say this again:
It's what all businesses in the world do. They calculate how much they can lose, while still keeping their overall business profitable.
if they didn't they'd go bankrupt.

Wish I could say the same. Seeing someone win a lottery doesn't warm my heart at all. GGG is lucky in this case that Pibaldi put in a ton of hours before he hit the jackpot. However, he could have rolled it on his first try or never achieve it regardless of how many times he tried (we can't hope to reach the long run with the current odds). That's how insane the current system is!

I'm all for gambling - most ARPGs have it - but give us an alternative guaranteed-if-mind-numblingly-grindy method to achieve the same thing through hard work and I'll be happy too.

I work salary 50 hours/week so I only get to play a couple hours a night, and long sessions on the weekend. I am far, far from wealthy in this game.I do pick up and chance every occultist vestment I find, and today, on my 45th vestment -



I can't actually use it yet as I blew through my entire stash of jewelers (about 140) and while I drew 5s several times I never did get 6. I have a feeling I'm going to end up calling in to work..

And yes, I know its ANARCHY and you don't care, but you can't stop me from feeling pretty excited after I lost my onslaught witch to a horrible desync/puncture death yesterday.
