Is Hardcore enough punishment?
It's more punishment than you could possibly imagine.

When my hc toons die they are stripped and deleted. Just doesn't give the same thrill in default

I really like how the punishment works in PoE-hardcore. I will most certainly make hardcore characters more often now compared to other ARPG's.

One question,Do items sell for more if it is in hardcore mode?Because if not It will just be the same game with a different name.If the items sold for more I understand why hardcore would be slightly interesting.

It has nothing to do with whether items "sell for more" or not.
Hardcore mode is just a very different experience from softcore. You tend to have to approach the game with a little bit more thought behind your actions and builds, in order to avoid certain-death or very high-risk situations. And then it ends up being all the more exciting when you do end up in dangerous situations. www.twitch.tv/nightmaren

" Economy. When a character dies in HC all his gear is with him transered to the Default league. And since people have the best items on their characters a lot of really good equipment gets taken out of HC. So AFAIK trading stuff on HC is easier because of this - there is a far greater demand. EDIT: and i also agree with the poster directly above me :) Proud 5th duelist in the Jul 1 2012 Ladder Race and in the Nov 3 2012 Solo Turbo Race :D And even prouder 4th Templar in the Nov 10 Four-hour Party Hardcore Race :P Current OB success: top 20 Ranger in 105 Minute Turbo Solo (S4E9) Last edited by Sony_Black#0112 on Aug 9, 2012, 12:55:43 PM

" Not only that, but when you absolutely HAVE to stay alive, you are more likely to be gear dependant, and more likely to use currency items as you level. In SC, who cares if you die, really, until merciless? Why "waste" orbs on gear that you will trade out shortly? Current IGNs:
